I've done some reading on this and so far got a lot of different opinions...

Can the basic salvia extracts (meant to be smoked) be used sublingually?

Tried, failed.

From what I got the majority of views tend to be that it doesn't work.

Shit, because I've given up on smoking and I got spare extract. Going to try tincture soon.

Yes, I've used something advertised as an "extraordinary potion of enchantment" which was salvia dissolved in alcohol. Almost takes the roof of your mouth off when you try to hold it for long.

^Following directions to dilute with water helps tone that down alot, though does require you use more of the very expensive product.

It certainly does work though... following makers directions PRECISELY for a MEDIUM experience, sitting very still in a dark room with minimal accent lights and only some slow quiet almost ambient sound on the stereo was as advertised "ENCHANTING" Not like being an untied balloon launched out a slingshot like smoking it, but like slowly falling under a very fascinating spell... it was gradual enough that I could observe a series of smaller changes, it was actually really cool and felt like I was being educated about reality, not the "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL WAS THAT" anvil to the skull that smoking is like (for me anyway).
