I have tried salvia before, six times with a very close friend hwo is also interested in the otherworldly and shamanistic nature of the drug. Both of us having been good friends in the psychonautic adventures over the years, we decided to make an at-home extract.

Wow.

We got done with it and decided since we had a small(ish) amount and didn't want someone unprepared for such things to get into it, we made a very insignificnt and very potent amount. Honestly, it's not something I suggest.

We pack a small bowl (imagine how big you'd back a bowl of bud when smoking a tar or something) and he lights first. Being careful, he only let the lighter touch the very edge of the bowl and still managed to get a bongful of smoke. He downed it and after about fifteen seconds he started to look worried.

Then he let go of his breath. He looked at me in a very surprised manner and said, quite plainly, "I think I forgot how to exhale for a sec there." I just looked at him for a time, and realized that I had to hit this, too.

So I do, but as I had chewed a quid the day previous I fugred the assault wouldn't be so bad, So I take a moderate hit. Not a power blast but a decent toke.

I hold it in for a good twenty seconds and my entire body starts to feel almost pressured in, like I am imploding. So I hold the breath a while longer and by the time I let it out, my buddy's face had become elongated and then the walls seemed to merge into everything. That is to say I was sitting in the middle of everything.

We had a good six or seven candles burning. Also something I don't recommend, because I got desires to play with fire. I ignored them, but I'm sure it would have felt great until I got burned.

The eerie glow in the room seemed to represent the energy that gflowed through everything and I played with shadows on the wall. Feeling as if I was manipulating this energy, I realized that in all truth I was. I was a living being, with an energy in me, and I was using this energy for that living.

So for a minute I explored that feeling and that realization, then I looked to find my buddy. In a 20x30' room, he looked to be downhill from me, then uphill. Then he looked distant. I didn't know and didn't really like the indecisiveness of my visuals, so I closed my eyes.

This is the point at which I closed my eyes and actually realized what was going on. I saw an entire world, as in a planet revolving in front of me. It seemed like I now had my eyes open, and I walked to touch it. I twirled my finger in a cliudy mass over teh sea and created a twistring effect. Watching this effect, it created a hurricane that devestated a small island. I tried to fix the damage I had done, but realized I could only harm. So I left the place and opened my eyes.

The candle's glow had changed to some degree, and it almost seemed greenish or a dark yellow and tan. My cabin's log walls deformed for awhile and then I closed my eyes again, right after saying "Give me a sec, man, I think I feel it."

The next scene was a dark, circular room. I was standing in the center surrounded by many people. A man at a raised podium to my left swung a gavel, apparently to bring order to this court. I saw the judge was myself, and I got on my knees. What surprises me is that it felt like I had control over and was part of this radically unreal thing that was so real I could hold it.

The judge (me) swung the gavel one last time, and a wave of energy (much like that that was produced by the candles) surged from the gavel's tip through the room, making everybody come to attention in little waves at a time. My first thought went along the lines of "He is manipulating this energy because he has been given the ability to." I then felt a heavy weight on my arms and mind, and I realized I had judged myself guilty.

So I opened my eyes, and much like a bad dream it took me a few seconds to realize none of it was true and there was no worry.

The rest of this is lost upon me, and right now I still feel very odd when I shift my vision.

I don't know why I saw these things and feel truly humbled by the drug, but I know I can withstand it and we have a good five experiences left in the bowl alone, two of which I believe we are enjoying shortly after corned beef for dinner. Which is most likely supper as well.

All in all it was a wonderful experience. I can't imagine how that would be bad at all, but then again I did go through a complete destruction of reality.

I guess I was either too immersed in trying to learn from it or too buried in the trip itself to notice that this was horrendous.

But to say the least it has become a favorite of mine as of now.

Very cool, do you have any idea, approx., what potency you think the extract is? Just curious. Definitely sounds like something worth trying, obviously in an experienced user. Hope you have more good trips, and I wouldn't have any candles in reach next time ;)

Salvia sure rocks me. I like it because I always know exactly where I stand, and what to expect. (nowhere and chaos)

We had a little over 80g of leaves (and that was wet, didn't measure afterwards) and we put it all onto prolly 2 grams of stuff at most. Which is insane, I know... The Salvinorin A % is like .5mg/g in straight leaves, right?

80 * .5 = 40mg Salvinorin A/2 = 20mg/g concentration. 40x?

It's an approximation, and I might not have my facts right about the salvinorin %'s... But we were cautious hitting it I would say.

Next time we do this, we are in a pasture.

Woah, I really should've looked at the info at hand more carefully.

If you have a gram scale weigh the material and assume that there is APPROXIMATELY 3 mg salvinorin per gram of ordinary (unenhanced) dried leaf.

So that's.... Damn.

120mg/g?! Surely not, that seems too much.

A lesson to be learned... BE FUCKING CAREFUL. =D

Wow, yeah, that's why i don't use my salvia much or let others use it unless they REALLY know what they're getting into. It sounds like you had a pretty earth-shaking experience, i hope you recover all right. I have friends who have had similarly insane experiences.

And this part is awesomely deep:

'The judge (me) swung the gavel one last time, and a wave of energy (much like that that was produced by the candles) surged from the gavel's tip through the room, making everybody come to attention in little waves at a time. My first thought went along the lines of "He is manipulating this energy because he has been given the ability to." I then felt a heavy weight on my arms and mind, and I realized I had judged myself guilty.'

I told my friend about the numbers, and he said he knew. So I guess that much we were clear on... But wow. I told him to make it potent, and apparently he did.

And yes, we all recovered fine, just a bit destructive in the way of it destroyed complete rational thought at random intervals.

All in all I loved it, and am going to help Moose finish the bit we made.

Honestly, the part about the judge brings forth a certain fear in me, but not to a degree that it scares me, if that makes sense.

I believe that any hallucinations are reflections of one's own feelings or condition and its odd to discover lost problems or maybe a hidden feeling every now and then... But it was very eye-opening, even though my eyes were closed.

I now recommend salvia.

I've played around with salvia pretty much and i would totally agree that what you see is a reflection of your own condition and feelings.

The more I smoke it, the more that hypothesis is confirmed.

im glad to know im not the only one who feels scared on salvia...i guess its normal, maybe ill finish the 2 grams of 10x extract i have lol

Heh, I've got numerous grams of 6x extract and one of 10x. They were all received as free samples but I just hardly ever use it.
