Salvia and Sleep?

Already read the BL wiki article and it said it promotes better sleeping patterns, but is that still a factor even if you smoke it right before going to bed?
I haven't done this before and have about a gram of some 10x lying around, I occasionally like to activate a sort of "deeper trance" if you will while meditating but have only been able to meditate (not legit buddhist monk status btw just kinda sit on my bed, light a candle, and try to think about nothing, find the last part is greatly aided if on a small amount of salvia) right before bed and haven't wanted to indulge myself due to my fear that since, although it is an extremely light salvia high compared to what most people I know do, I sort of will be stimulated when experiencing any sort of "trip" and that that will carry over after the high to make it harder to go to sleep. Comparable to like exercising before bed or something like that.
I have quite positive reactions to small amounts of salvia and I guess I could say it sort of calms me but not to the extent that I wouldn't think about asking this question.
Anybody have info or prior experiences with this?
-Thanks

i honestly do not think it will be a problem. you may get an elevated heart rate for a shirt while during/after but this should quikcly subside. i think the going to sleep factor will depend on your own personal mindset. i think the best way to go is to experiment with small amounts and see if you can get into a nice relaxed state not long after using

edit: i havent done salvia right before sleeping, but i can say that it does make me feel overall groggy after a bit of a trip.

Alright sounds good I'll see how it goes I was just worried there could be some lasting effects that might keep me up for and hour or two longer or something

I found that salvia would give me lucid dreams and sometimes sleep paralysis if I took it before I went to bed.
Overall the quality of my sleep was greatly reduced though.

A "full" dose of Salvia used to knock me right out after the trip. A couple hours after smoking, BAM asleep on the floor.

I have tried taking light doses of Salvia before bed though, and in my case it actually kept me awake rather than helping me sleep. I have occasional bouts of insomnia regardless though, which may have been a factor in that.
