Wow... I remember now- oh yes, that familiar feeling crawling through me once again. In an instant I am transported back to that moment in space and time where the Divine Sage exerts its force upon those conscious entities that happen to find their way to this realm. Behind and yet within all scenes, one becomes aware of their place in the great machine, leaking out into the surrounding dimensions of their fellow cohorts so close and yet so far away. My humanity is still quite intact; I have not "blasted off" into psychedelic-hyperspace so completely. To some, they would consider this moment a waste, a strange feeling not worthy of experience or reflection. I on the other hand, choose to relish this moment for allowing me to relive my past experiences with such a fresh outlook. Thank you, Salvia- whatever you are...
Before me lies every Salvia journey that I have ever lived. I am there, again, just as I had been years before- but so more vividly. Details long forgotten, and yet so key were being opened up to me once again. The difference: this time I could wade in the shallower waters of the 'Salvierse' to contemplate and recall the dimensions with more lucidity than before. Instead of being torn to pieces in a few seconds only to return a few minutes later with a fleeting feeling of, "something big just happened, but I don't even know what," I calmly meditate and open myself up- I remember now, that feeling of breaking through to the other dimensions, so surreal, so out of place within my own consciousness and yet so very real in their own right. What are these places? Who are these entities that inhabit these strange and familiar realms? Am I just experiencing aspects of my own mind from an altered state of consciousness, or has my altered state of awareness opened my mind to trans-dimensional realms and realities over and adjacent to our own? Are both of these possibilities only different perspectives on the same process- underscoring something grander pertaining to the nature of consciousness and reality? It is as if the same force that caused me to hit Salvia and lay down on my bed was at that moment, the very same force that led a school-child to line up with his classmates in a gym, that caused someone to hop into a double-decker bus in London, and someone else to sit down at a desk; the same energy, coursing through hyperspace causing an infinite assortment of reactions- some kind of macro-cosmic gear shifting its position, and in doing so creating an 'echo' effect to ripple between whatever realities that happened to be under its control...
There is a moment where one can sense multiple realities at once. I recall existence at the half-way point: not quite completely immersed in one of the infinite alternate realities of the grand system, (and I don't think you typically get a choice in the matter of 'where' exactly your destination will be- only a reassurance that you'll find your way back to yours when the Sage wants you to) and yet not quite in my own either. You really feel your awareness seeping through a wall. It's obviously not a wall that exists anywhere in our physical plane, but its definitely there. I have felt myself be pulled through it and caught in the middle of it, left to exist 'behind the scenes' so to speak; and I have felt "meta-consciousnesses" in relation to our own that seem to exist primarily on a higher 'level' if you will- between the walls of the realities that we and an infinite number of other conscious entities seem to exist. I have little doubt that our own human consciousness is in and of itself a meta-consciousness to another infinite set of consciousnesses, as are the other consciousnesses that we seem to be 'aligned' with, so on and so forth for subjective conscious points up and down the spectrum of what I can only allude to as "hyperspace."
It seems quite probable that the physical reality we immerse our awareness into is analogous to a hologram, with things like matter, space and time existing only as projections of greater mechanisms at work to our conscious 'wavelength.' I am not positing that our dimension of physical reality does not exist, just that it is only one "slice" of subjective reality, and the slice that we as "sober" human beings tend to be aware of. We ourselves seem to be intricately connected to everything else in a manner that can be truly mind-bending to attempt to grasp; the same pieces fitting together to create an infinite assortment of pictures all at once and in a moment that is itself, forever... Once again, all is one.
I see that everything I experience as a conscious being stems from my own subconscious "filter," and that I and others associate our assessments of situations from the 'outside-in' instead of the other way around. Another person cannot make me angry, or happy, or anything else for that matter. These states are ones that we impose on ourselves as reactions to our environment, and as such, we cannot allow them to control our actions. They must be assessed for what they are, and used to help guide us as allies on our quest for equilibrium with our environment. Love is a guide as is fear, do not close your eyes to yourself, do not enslave yourself to yourself. Though we may not be steering the wheel of the Universe, we are free to mold the shape of our own consciousness as it exists on this level. Let love be the greatest ally of all, and relish in the fruits that stem from this positive force, it is the ultimate ally. It is always up to us to choose to interpret and exert the energy that flows through us as negative or positive forces; pushing negativity onto the system will only create more negativity, pushing positivity onto the system will create more positivity- what kind of world do we wish to shape for ourselves?
This latest experience with the Divine Sage has really opened me up to the Salvia Universe in a whole new way I feel. I believe that before, I was wandering through this space without proper respect and preparation. I was not ready to completely let go, and Salvia showed me real fear as a test to see if I was ready to handle its teachings. It drove me off for a long time, and it was not until very recently that I began to see Salvia, and the psychedelic experience in general- in a whole new light. I have little doubt that I will dabble in the world of the Sage again, and probably sometime in the near future. This plant is undoubtedly a powerful tool for consciousness expansion and exploration, and certainly not one to be taken lightly. The thing is, this one's so far out in left-field in the world of psychedelia, that I can easily understand how it has come to be viewed by so many as a tool with little use, too powerful and confusing to really work with. Of course, I think that many of these people probably jumped head-first into the deep-end and got "drowned out" as a result, bruised on a psychedelic roller-coaster and humbled into never taking that ride again. Perhaps this is for the better? I sense that this one doesn't want to waste its time showing white middle-class suburbanites a 'trippy' light show- no, there are far more serious matters at hand here... Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll scare enough of 'em to stop them from posting videos on YouTube of themselves abusing this sacred catalyst so this amazing plant can be properly researched and explored, instead of being shunned to the status of the latest teen craze to get "high" with. T'would be a shame to see this one go the way of pretty much all other psychedelics in the eyes of our "civilized" society...
