This experience happend about 9 years ago, when I was 17 years old. It's one of my most memorable trips ever. I've read that salvia is the strongest hallucinogen known to man. I've done shrooms, acid, mescaline, DXM, and 2ci, all at pretty high doses. This was by far the most intense trip.
Back in my high school days I occasionally smoked weed and sometimes took painkillers. My friend and I heard about salvia from my older brother. He had purchased some from a local head shop. Still living with our parents, we didn't have any good places to partake, so we usually smoked weed in a small closet located in my friend's father's apartment complex. The closet had no light. We used a gravity bong made from a 5 gallon bucket and 2 gallon Arizona iced tea container. Needless to say, this thing provided massive hits.
We started out smoking some bud. After getting nicely toasted we decided it was time to try out the salvia. We didn't know what it's effects were, we assumed it was similar to weed. I went first. I loaded up the black leafy substance with great anticipation. We used a rather large socket as bowl, I filled it to the brim. I lit the bowl and gently pulled the iced tea container skyward. Thick smoke completely filled the container. Being a champion hit taker, I was able to breathe in every last bit. I held the hit as long as I could, maybe 10 to 20 seconds. As I exhaled I experienced the craziest trip of my life.
In a matter of a few seconds, I completely forgot who I was. I didn't know my name, I didn't know where I was, I didn't even know I was a human from the planet earth. I felt completely unaware. Suddenly I saw ribbons shoot from my eyes, twisting around eachother, changing colors. The ribbons went across the pitch black closet to the wall. After reaching the wall they turned into a sticky, gluey substance, trapping a tiny person against the wall. I realized that person was me. I could see myself in the 3rd person, trapped and struggling, stuck to the wall. I had shrunk, perhaps to the size of an insect. I saw myself moving, first vertically up the wall. Then, after reaching the cieling I moved horizontally across it. At this point I felt like I had two points of view, one in the first person and one in the third person.
The next thing I remember, I was a bit more self aware. However, I was utterly confused. At this point, I still didn't know who I was, but I knew I was a person again. I saw what seemed like infinite points of light, flashing and changing colors. Where was I? How did I get here? Is that a door? Yes! It was a door, I opened it up and went outside. I soon as I went outside, I felt a pulling sensation. I was pulled in one direction so strongly that I went with it. I ran and ran. I didn't know what was happening. As I ran I became a bit more calm. Somehow, I made it my friend's apartment. He followed me there. I looked at his face. It turned green and his skin formed strange patterns that turned into pictures. I remember seeing a one dollar bill and a fish.
Soon after this I remembered everything. I knew I took a drug. After that, my friend tried it and had a similar experience. I did salvia a few more times, but never at such a high dose. I don't think I will do it again.
