1st Salvia Trip: welcome to the matrix
After a very long and, for the lack of a better term, fucked up new years eve my friends and I settled into the messy but warm and comfortable apartment of our new friend G. I slip back into the couch to relax, letting the music fill my head while D packs a bong with a small dose (80mg approx)of the salvia (5x extract). I'm seriously in need of a spiritual outburst after the events that transpired the evening before. Its roughly 8am and sleep does not look like its coming anytime soon as I have to drive back home. The music is soothing, ambient, but unfamiliar. I take the bong in hand, light it and take in a full lungful of smoke. It doesn't have the harshness of marijuana or even of cigarette smoke so its relatively easy to hold in for 15-20 seconds. I let it out and proceed to take another full lung of the smoke. I lay back, and as D speaks the words 'just let him trip' I'm in another world. My eyes are closed, my body feels shaky like its beeing pulled by little hands in every direction at once. As I slip into the trip I see the room (eyes closed of course), but only as binary code like Neo sees the world at the end of the matrix. I can make out my surroundings, but only in the greens and blacks of 0's and 1's. As this continues the world around me becomes multi colored, much like the colors of a navajo blanket- all being sucked into hole and speeding past me. I see the face of S, the girl lying next to me, and as she circles my head I hear the words 'are you out?' With this D pulls me up from my seat, asks me my name, his name and other simple questions- all of which I answered correctly...As I sit back down I feel as if I'm being suspended over my seat, weightless. I nap, not quite asleep, but in a state of quiet contemplation until it is time to leave. I get up, feel rejuvinated, at ease with myself and ready to move on.
All in all this was an increadible trip. I must say a higher dose would have given me a chance to delve deaper into the realm- but there's always next time. This is not a drug to be taken lightly or done at a party, only at a time when one has a chance to sit and think and contemplate what has just occured.

drugs may not lead anywhere, but at least its the scenic route...
