At first, I was like "75 mg? pssh, i've taken like 90 1 mg pills over 2 days" but then I saw there was a zero in there...



OP: glad you made it through. sounds like your gf would be a nice reason for you to stay breathing.
 
Well at first I was using it to self-medicate and help with my withdrawal from cocaine. Of course, dealing with the powder is somewhat tricky, and even with a milligram scale it's easy to overdose into the 10 mg range.

But now I don't use powder anymore and I've worked out a regimen where I take a 2mg pill twice a week for sleep and just deal with the other 5 nights come what may; this way I don't become addicted or get into trouble. It's been working great for the last 6+ months.
 
I think the issue isn't overdose because you're obviously alright. You might want to take a look at the underlying issues that would make you want/need to do that. Curiosity is no excuse. When you can get honest with yourself about what you're feeling/trying to escape, maybe you'll be able to let it go. Then you won't have to subject your body to things like that. Be well.
 
i dont get it benzos get me so twisted if i eat like 4 mgs im FUCKED i dont get how people eat so much i know someone who ate like 45 mgs one night and then went out wiht us and chilled id be on the ground in a DEEP sleep if i took anything like that

I take about 2mg and I'm knocked the fuck out, thats crazy you got all the way up to 750mg..
 
I knew a guy that died from mixing xanax with alcohol. I do not know how many he took but was told a lot.

I used to pop one when I was low on money to enhance the beer buzz.
 
Yeah, Xanax on its own is damn safe, add a little booze in and you're in trouble. I reckon if tobala had dranken so much as one beer on 750mg, he'd have died, but keep the Alcohol out of it, and you're probably fairly safe, even without a tolerance. That is, if you don't do anything stupid on it...Getting hit by a car or smashing your head on something or w/e doesn't really count.

As for the barbiturates comment, I guess it is a good thing they were replaced...They lead to several unintentional ODs, and with benzos, even people who want to die usually fail because they leave out the key ingredient of Alcohol. I'm sure plenty of people used to black out on barbs, and take way too many, just like people do with Benzos, but with benzos, at least it probably wont kill ya.

Still pretty safe, weed is like THE safest drug, lol. You probably raise the chances of you doing something dumb though. One thing to be careful of with doing so much benzos...Once you black out, you're not really going to have the sense about you to avoid Alcohol, you know, so it seems risky no matter what, I think tobala got pretty lucky he didn't reach for a beer or shot or whatever.

I kinda know that feeling OP. I said fuck it one day too - took 30mg of xanax, buncha wine, and 10mg of oxycodone and wound up in the hospital. The hospital didn't do anything besides take my vitals...I think anyway....I remember laying in the wheeler sobering up and the doctor asking me if I was trying to kill myself. I was sober enough to say NO and told him I was just trying to sleep and he let me go.

I don't remember anything for two days, then I remember the bright lights of the hospital, and after than I lost another 2-3 days (I don't even know how many LOL). Apparently I had conversations with my dad and sister and tried to lock my door when the paramedics came. They told me they would break it down, so I was at least smart enough to open it. LOL Taking huge doses of benzos just makes you regret it when you wake up and realize that you failed and now everyone knows.
 
wow haha yea im with a senior mod who posted earlier the most iv ever taken was 14mg and i dont remember that day at all
 
LD50=unattainable?

A buddy was reckless with grams of diazepam handed him. While it took a month to get straight, he WAS kept from being a danger to himself and others. Some folks have no sense of (self-)control. 8) Glad grain spirits were my problem, and not his that holiday! =D
 
First let me say I am glad your doing ok now. I hope you werent tryin to go out like that.

Eating a shitload of xanax will definately make you do some off the wall things.

In May 2007 I decided to eat about 80mg at one time. I woke up 3 days later strapped to a hospital bed.

Apparently I thought stabbing myself 7 times was a good idea. I dont remember any of it. But I have a huge ass scar from chest to belly button now where they had to repair my intestines from punture wounds.

I have also eaten just smaller amounts in the past. Maybe 10 or 15 mg. And I snap if something pisses me off. Trying to fight a gang of people thinking I am going to win. I use to get my ass kicked alot on xanax.

Anyway..Glad your ok. Learn from that.

i agree with an earlier poster - dont go out on oxy later....it sounds like u hav a luvly gf who cares for u
benzos can cause really reckless behaviour at large doses - b very careful
id say if u cant moderate ur benzo use u cud end up in a lot of trouble
and benzos r depressants - if ur already depressed they make u feel worse
plz look after urself
dont end up another statistic!
