Safety Questions concerning Morphine Pills

I recently aquired some pills said to be 60mg Morphine...I got them from a fairly reliable source and BLEIEVE that thats really what they are...still, i'd like to find a picture to be sure. Searched it out on Erowid but the only link saying it contained pix of morphine pills doesn't open when i click on it...any helpful ideas?? i tried RX List.com but it only had info, no pix..
If this really turns out to be morphine, any ideas as to how best to enjoy? I'm resonably experieced with dissasociatives, as in Loritabs and the like, but i'm told this is MUCH stronger. I plan on taking one, either simply swallowing or swallow half/snort half....any idea as to the most effective way to consume? And how long should i wait to feel effects before i would decide if i need another??
Any help much appreciated!!
 
Lortabs and the like are NOT disociatives. They are narcotic painkillers. Dissociatives are chems like ketamine, DXM, tiletamine, PCP.
Does the pill havea 60 scored on one side and MS on the other? It's most likely MSContin, which is morphine sulfate continous release. If you swallow he pill whole you'll probably be disappointed. Crush it up and snort it or slam it. You might wanna go with half of the pill to start with. Better safe than sorry. MSContins are pretty weak though, imo. Breaking the time release is a bitch.
 
It does have a 60 on one side, it is a long round pill and orange, and on the other side it has E655 on it...
So i should snort it?? U say it's not too powerful but everyone around here thinks i'm gonna OD or something, i dunno. I have done K before..you said THATS a dissassociative, any way to get a similar experience?
i want to be careful but what if one doesn't do anything for me? Would it be safe to take another?

The safest way to try a pill ,or something, you have not had before is to take it by mouth. You should not snort it. When taking morphine orally only about 50-40% will reach your CNS. The rest of the stuff is sucked up by the good old liver, so this is why many people say oral morph is a waste. If you snort it, lots of the drug will get into your bloodstream quickly, setting you up for a possible bad reaction.
 
E655? Wehn you say long and round do you mean oblong shaped? You've got Morpgine Sulfate IR (Instant release). These things are very nice and very potent as the entire drug hits you at once as opposed to a continous release of lower doses. DONT take the entire 60. Half of it will probably knock you on your ass. I've never eaten or snorted the IRs butI can tell you that 30mg IV of this pill is an asskicker.
themadhungarian is right. Snort it.
Hope you read this before you took the pill. And you definately wont feel the need to take another.
 
I've had these pills. They are certainly instant release. What's your experience with them?
Edit: The are extended release. What's the difference between continuos release and extended release? Extended release certainly hits you harder.

Thanks to all who tried to help...AND in the case of the person who flamed me for asking and linked to RXlist.com, if you'd read my first post i already looked there and all it pulled up was generic drug info, names and doeses, No pix which is what i was after.
So everyone's pretty sure i have morphine instant release? Kewl. then i'm gonna snort up one and smoke a little and wait for the fun to begin. Don't worry, I have proper supervision.
I'll write a trip report afterwards.

No, like forgotten said, they are not instant release. It's impossible to find info on these pills. From my own experience with them though, I had just assumed the were instant release because of how hard the kick you. They are extended release but are much more powerful than MSContins for some reason. I've never nodded on 30 of IV MSContin but I sure as hell nodded on 30mg of the ones you have...and scraped the spoon to recycle a second very powerful dose.
 
Thast is a generic extended release by novartis labs. Like the other guy said, MSIR coems in no higher that 30mg in the US.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info and JESUS that shit kicked my ass. I am very glad i listened and only snorted one. It hit pretty quick, in like half an hour i was feeling my first three lines (half a pill) and then i did the other half and wow. I was unable to walk becuase it felt like i was shaking and very weak,
And little details were amplified...i did smoke a decent bowl on it but i know the quality shit i had, theres no way it would account for all that! All in all a VERY fun feeling, like falling down a very long dark well, somewhat unpleasant and it made me very depressed at one point but it also enabled me to open new doors of my mind previously unexplored. My friend who was with me took one then waited but wasn't at the same platue i was so he took another but that proved a little too much b/c it made him very sick all the next day. We both slept ALL DAY the next day, like we couldn't drag out of bed except to go to the bathroom...
All in all though i would and do intend to experiment more with this....
