Safest DXM Cough Syrups

Hi guys,

I'm looking to experiment with DXM. I hope this isn't considered asking for sources, but I wonder from a health perspective which cough syrup in the UK is best to use. I've searched around the Web for the "safest dxm cough syrup" but can't find anything. Obviously, the reason I ask this is because I'm looking for one with high levels of dextromorphan, and low levels of anything else (ESPECIALLY anything particularly dangerous/risky/lethal)

Have a read though our Safe Sources of DXM thread. Not sure what it like in the UK, and I've never done DXM but a lot of people seem to go for Zicam or those Robitussin gelcaps. The gelcaps have 15mg DXM each and there's 20 in a bottle, (total 300mg per bottle, with nothing else).

Just try and find a source of cough medicine where the only active ingredient is DXM. No Guaifenesin or any other crap. Just DXM, that should work out fine. I am not sure about brandnames in the UK though.

I don't have proof, but Id guess the zicam spray with DXM as the only active ingredient. You don't need much. 30mgs of DXM for every 5 sprays it says. It's the smallest amount syrup drinking possible, and much easier than swallowing 20 or more pills, and its less substance.

I'd go with Zicam Cough Mist. It's like taking a shot, little grosser, but absolutely nothing compared to just about every other OTC method of taking DXM.

DXM In The UK - should answer your question better as I don't think we get Zicam and the rest over here. Between that and the thread PepperSocks linkied you should get all the info you need but the UK thread is obviously more relevant if you're in the UK.

PS: Pure DXM is quite easily available online too and probably a better option than chugging cough syrup.
