Safe to eat a few aspirin /w codiene (for pain) before a night of benzos/booze?

Well, what's a "few" -- 3 or so 30 mg codeine? Is there any time in between taking the codeine and the benzos/booze? Because codeine will potentiate the effects of alcohol and benzos, so you want to be careful about combining these..
I presume also that you are aware of the (potential) dangers of combining alcohol and benzos?

Take it slow till you get a feel for it. One drink on top of a prescribed dose of percocet is enough to make me sick for 10-30 minutes.

I can pretty much answer your question for you. Last night I consumed 300mg of codeine, no other drugs, except a joint to mellow me out a bit.
Now tonight I drank a 40oz bottle of Bud Lite (yeah I know, it's wimpy, but I'm on the Atkins diet and I can't go overboard on the beer). Then right after I headed to the movies with my friends, and we smoked 3 bowls of marijuana in the car before going in to see Changing Lanes. After we got settled into the theater, feeling nice and high, I popped 2 1mg Xanax's. I felt a bit euphoric and a bit tired, but the movie wasn't all that great by the way, not to get off topic. Anyway, after leaving the theater we smoked a few more bowls in the car, and I took two more 1mg Xanax's about 40 mins ago, and I'm drinking the 5 remaining beers in my fridge. Hey, it's Friday night, what the hell, ya know?
I forgot to mention that I started the evening by snorting two decent size lines of cocaine, but as usual that wore off in about 25 minutes.
Basically, what it boils down to, is that you'll be fine. As far as I know, benzo's aren't hard on the liver, opiates either for that matter. It's just the APAP that comes along with most opiate drugs that get's ya.

Remember that while APAP is toxic to your liver in high doses -- eg 8-10 grams/day and up -- damage doesn't build up over time or anything from it. If you're drinking at the same time, I would keep to half that number (4-5 grams) which is usually still at least 10 pills, depending on the formulation of your product.

4000-5000mg of APAP while drinking substantially?!?
I'll try to spare you the drawn out, boring scientific details (unless you'd like me to post them), but briefly, APAP on its own can be excreted fairly safely as a relatively benign chemical called Mercapturic acid. When you drink...even just a couple beers...an enzyme is activated which blocks this "safer" pathway. It instead metabolizes APAP into a nasty chemical called NAPQI which binds to liver cells and causes *immediate* necrosis. This isn't just minor cell damage, it kills them almost instantly which will eventually induce cirrhosis if you keep taking it. The more you drink, the faster and more efficient this process is. Couple that with a shitload of acetominophen and you're looking at serious liver damage. Sure, it may not kill you today or tommorow, but if you make even a semi-regular habit of this you're GOING to have liver problems.
Anyway, its your body.

I believe there have been recent studies that show that alcohol plus APAP leads to cumulative damage- i.e. there is microdamage each and every time you combine the two, not a threshold reaction. I absolutely will NOT consume any APAP (I'm a pretty heavy drinker). That shit is just not good for you. I'm not sure about APAP alone- regarding cumulative effects, but to be safe, I just won't do any of it at any time.
