Safe to do MDMA again?

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section, new to the site. Someone I know took about a gram of MDMA at a musical festival in May two days in a row. The first day, they were fine and had a great time. The second day, they felt light headed, had no control over their body (couldn't walk, no control over bladder, and was losing hearing). My friend was rushed to the nearest ER after seeking medical help at the festival. While at the ER, this person flatlined multiple times. They later found out the MDMA was actually all amphetamine.

This person has not done it since then because they are scared. Lately, they want to do it again (a much smaller amount) but are afraid after what happened. Although safe isn't the right word, is it "safe" for them to do again after what they experienced? This person has taken MDMA in all different amounts about 20 times in their life.

Chaotic220, buy a test kit and test to make sure you are getting what was paid for so that doesn't happen again. Ease back into it and see how a low dose goes to see how they react and don't be afraid to seek medical attention should any problems arise. Make sure they have friends around to keep an eye on them.

Indeed, get a testkit, there is no way around this like you already experienced. And woah, flatlined multiple times? I think that would be enough to scare me away from drugs completely, doesn't matter much if it was meth or MDMA, I know that isn't really logical but still, after having danced with death like that... Glad to hear you got out alright. Are they sure it was caused by a meth overdose and not by some underlying medical condition? In any case, it isn't possible to tell you if it's safe or not, that decision is yours and yours alone, we have no way of knowing all the relevant factors. If you do decide to try again, test before you ingest and like BLUEREX already said, start low. But if I were you I'd thread carefully

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. There were no underlying conditions, that's for sure. It's just a sticky situation considering what happened. Now that months passed, he wants to try it out again but much lower dosage. Still scared shitless.

Meant taking MDMA. Clearly my friend thought that's what he was taking the first time. But what I meant sad should he do it again, not the amphetamin....

Definitely worth the try, but test first so accidents like that don't happen again and dose small amounts. Don't be like some that on their first go they are dropping 200+mg's, that's not smart. Since MDMA is the only drug i use, I'd be devastated if i never did it again. Be safe, enjoy and have good company with them.

Yeah as everyone says get a test kit after something like that I'm not sure I would have the nerve to touch Md ever again, or any stimulant for that matter but you should definitely test from now on. I would say my main concern would be the state of your heart, multiple flatlines makes me thing a risk of pertinent damage, weakened heart muscles - you say it's been several months, enough time to recover from minor damage prehaps but maybe you should consult your doctor to ask if it's safe to subject your heart to the strain of average dosed stimulants considering what happened - doctors just want to help and will give advice without revealing your intentions to anyone (their are confidentiality laws anyway) They won't approve and may lecture a little but at the end of the day they don't want you too die. I assume they tested for all that stuff and made sure you were in top shape (relatively considering) when you left hospital but I would suggest double checking.

If you do decide to do some though start LOW low. A entire gram is a ton dude even for the healthiest guy on earth. Maybe try a 10th of that with a little bump. Go very light to test the waters. Also I would in general advise against really heavy stimulants, MDMA may have it's heart strain but mcat or meth or something along those lines probably aren't something you would want to risk putting into your body any time soon considering what your heart went through.
