Opioids safe therapeutuc dose of poppies

It's kind of hard to give a direct answer on this..It can vary from batch to batch(stregth). I use to take them, but not for pain. The way I would do it is grind up enough for 3 tablespoons. This was my typical dose before tolerance kicked in then it was 6 + tablespoons(just do the toss and wash method). But really, I would say somewhere between 2-4 tablespoons for pain. Start with two-three, maybe even one. Each tablespoon is 4.5 grams as I recall. It still really pisses me off that all those vendors got shut down and prices skyrocked to that of just buying pills...it's such a shame. Lately I've been thinking about switching over to Pods again and Kratom to keep Pod tolerance down instead of Suboxone everyday...or the Methadone clinic, but soo much bullshit is involoved with clinics. Suboxone does help me but I usually go off it for three days and blow through all my savings anyway sooo, I dunno. But ya, do toss and wash method, don't bother with capsules start off with 2 tablespoons and go from there..

Valerian as a potentiator?
Never heard that one before.

When I used to use I would occasionally pre-dose with black seed aka
Nigella Sativa aka kalonji.
Be careful though, as I found it made a dose ~ 2x or 3x as strong as usual. Heavy nod from a "functional" dose.
Maybe useful for conserving supplies or really bad days. Again though - I'm not 100% sure of the increase in thereupetic potency, but it was certainly a far stronger psychoactive effect.

Wow Spacejunk that Nigella gives it a massive kick, wonder what the chemistry is -- maybe for use on really bad days only? Great info for OP who must be in pure agony with five herniated discs and the post-op surgery to contend with. Plus from surgery comes the adhesions which makes more surgery worse. It is a terrible downhill slope.

I wish I had known then what I know now when I had back problems. For those who dont know, Sciatica is like an electric shock from hip to heel every time you move your leg. No fun for sure, I couldn't move with mine. So I can imagine what she must be going through.

Heartening to see so many trying to help, what nice folk y'all are here.

My understanding is that it inhibits the liver enzymes CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 that metabolise morphine and other opiate alkaloids present in poppies.
My experience is that it doesn't work if you use it every day, and i'm not sure if it is such a good idea to fuck around with your liver's metabolic processes every day.

Absolutely agree SJ -- the least messing with the liver the better. Personally would not use PPT every day anyhow, but can understand how if one is in agony and has a family to care for, it must be tempting. Best for a good Easter to you.
