Hey,

I have had serious insomnia for a very long time, my drug of choice for it was alcohol..

I am just stopping from alcohol now, still taking some, trying to come off gradually, tonight is my second night of not having as much as I have for years.

I got about 2 hours sleep last night, I took 7.5mg zopliclone...I woke up constantly and I had to go buy alcohol as soon as the shop opened.

I only have another 2 7.5mg zop tabs left here...
I only had the 3 from being in hospital around a year ago and I saved them for coming off drink.

The only other thing I have is propranolol and Cetirizine...I don't know if these will even help at all....

To be honest, I don't even know what advise I am asking for here...
I am just having a crap time right now especially with sleep.

I have Campral for the alcohol also..

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

as someone with insomnia ill tyrn help,
alcohol is a gaba blaba type of drug, so ide research what sleep aids if any work on the gaba system.
benzos from what i know work on that same system, and would seem like a safe (not mixed with alcohol-hellno) replacement/ substitute for alcohol.
my doctor finally prescribed me alprazolam and it works great at 1mg to get to sleep, i also dont drink though.

it doesnt sound like you have access to health care because you stated you only had 3 pills, but i dont have health care either, and the money it cost to see a mental health specialist(who deals with insomnia) was well worth the money. i was self medication with cannabis and synthetic cannabiniods and i was digging myself into a financial hole.
(im comparing my presumption of your alcoholism with my addiction to cannibiniods)

Mixing the three is fine but the antihistamine might add to the sedation of the zopiclone.

The campral and propranolol won't help you sleep. Campral (acamprosate) is meant to help you abstain from alcohol. Propranolol is a blood pressure medication, while it may help with some forms of anxiety, it can actually make sleep worst.

If you have insomnia, please talk to your doctor or psychiatrist about it.

I remember the glory days when me and my mate had 500 plus 10mg diazapan on tsp for however long they lasted us. We worked and lived together for a long time. Work consisted of, and I kid you not. Getting drunk and talking to people. This 6 days a week work not letting us go till 3am ish but we were always so druk slash high we were out all night every night. Until he got kidney stones Lol but sleep became very messed up and the diazapan was fantastic. X2 and lights out. Once I took quite a few after smoking weed after a bug club night high on MDMA and I was unconscious for around 22 hours

Just for future reference, please dont use alcohol to help you sleep. I used to do that shit until I did some research. When you drink to the point of being even slightly drunk, your body doesnt go through the REM cycles so its like you never even slept.
