Opioids Safe dose of methadone to give to lad who never taken opiates in life ?

I got a pal who has never taken opiates in his life although has dabble with sum other drugs but never really heavy use. Hes only 20 years old and has been on my case to try sum methadone. i dont want to give him to much and am not sure i will even give him any cas it could be the first step to what could turn worse in a few years time, problem is he knows other users who have methadone and i know they are much less corncerned about what a high dose could do to him. i dont like these idiots as they are the type who would give him a high dose for a laugh just to see how much he'd get messed up. like i said totall recless idiots. I was thinking maybe 10mg. Would like to know your views on what would be safe amount.
 
Yer ive told him this time and time again but to many people been telling him how great it all is but are forgetting to mention how it could be the first step down the trail to ruining his life and hurting every one he loves. But i pretty much know hes gonna try it and no dout like it so i'd rather i gave him a safe dose and kept an eye on him.
 
I did say that in my post but like i explaned hes gonna do it. so would you rather i let him go to sum crack house an do 60mg an die? i know what your saying is right but the more you tell sum one not to do it you know the more they want to do it, its one of them crazy things.
 
Depending on individual... 10mg probably won't do much, but agree it's a good starting point. Hopefully, he'll get a little sick and not want anymore... ever!
 
This poor kid is gonna puke his guts up! haha But really, one important part of methadone is giving it time. It takes awhile before you feel the effects. I'm one of those people who too often gets impatient and ends up snacking on leftover wafers so I felt the need to point this out. 10 mgs and wait a few hours!
