safe combo???or not

Hi. I found a strip of 8x 50 mg Tramadols and have some 0.2 temgesics. Would these synergise,say 200mgs tramadol,swallowed and one 0.2 temgesic,snorted or is it possibly a bad idea? Should have lowish tolerance to both due to a break. Thanks.

Do you have any experience with either of these? Tramadol is a funny drug, SNRI as well as opioid and some people don't get much from it, and Temgesic is buprenorphine which is only a partial opioid agonist, so some people don't get much from it...

Buprenorphine has a much higher receptor affinity than tramadol, so the tramadol wouldn't get a look in I would imagine if you combined them.. Although 0.2mg is quite a low dose of bupe, so am not entirely sure. I'd take them seperately definitely, and go steady as your tolerance is lower that it used to be. 400mg tramadol is the accepted safe level in 24 hours to avoid seizures but it's pretty high for a single dose - people have seized off less - and don't combine it with any other drugs that can lower the seizure threshold..

Thanks for the quick reply Effie. Yes , i have previous experience with both. When i have zero tolerance to bupe,one or two 0.2's is enough,but only when snorted.Sublingual does nothing. I realise Tramadols potential dangers and won't go above 300 mgs. I'll stick to one or the the other. Haven't had trams for ages,probably a year,so should be good. Bupe tolerance seems almost permanent. I won't combine them. cheers.

No problem sorry it was a slightly vague answer, but I definitely wouldn't combine them and sticking to 300mgs tramadol sounds sensible!
