Safe combo AD and AP?

Hi, my doctor put me on Lexapro 10mg and Seroquel XR 150 (bipolar) for severe depression and ptsd after a wreck. I hate AD's but I have to be able to get out of bed.

My question is- is this a safe combo? I've heard lots of soldiers w PTSD prescribed this combo and dying in their sleep from cardiac arythmmia. I'm going to die anyways if I don't take meds, but I'm just curious if this is a real issue. Thanks.

I'm not aware of any deadly effects from this combination. It might take a while to get used to Seroquel, how long have you been taking them? Really you should be fine but if you have any concerns, ask your doctor.

I've been on the Seroquel XR for about 6 months, Lex 2 days and I was suicidal.. quack psych shouldn't have given a bipolar I patient an AD.

I think my depression is simply hopeless. I've been self medicating w/ IV hydromorphone. I know this seems ridiculous, but desperate times call for desperate measures....
