it keeps you company,brings you to tears
tells you it's going to be alright
and that you're not alone
you whistle it while you walk home drunk
it wraps its arms around you as you lay in bed
then you fall asleep dreaming of that boy you loved
and he taps on your window
takes your hand, leads you outside
and shows you the starry night sky
because you forgot how beautiful the world can be.
