Ketamine (s-isomer), first time, 1 line insufflated
Prescribed: fluoxetine, methylphenidate, trazodone
School just started up again, and so me and 2 other friends recently did some ketamine together. I have had one friend tell me that he didn't like this stuff, but another who always tells me that I'll love it. So I accepted my second friends offer to let me try some. So I watch as he takes out a miniscule opalescent/off yellow pebble and cuts it with a razor into fine lines as he explains that this is the best K that he has ever had. When I finally take half the line, I feel that my nostril is stinging.
Very quickly I start to realize that I feel distant and cheerful, we put on some music and talk for a while. After I felt comfortable, I did the second bit of my line, saving a tiny little bump. It doesn't sting as badly this time, but the postnasal taste awful, and my friend tells me to spit it out because it could make me sick. Now I feel as though I am floaty, it seems as though I am trying to come out of the top of my head, almost like a wind is coming out of my hair. I begin to see tracers, in the form of smoke and light coming off of objects. Sudden sounds are very noticeable, such as the subtle sliding of a chair.
We then smoke some weed and I begin to feel a tiny bit anxious (5 out of 10), but it just kind of seems to taper off, fluxing between (0-5) . Usually when I try a new substance I am on edge anyhow because I have no idea how I will react to it. We start playing SSX Tricky, and then I begin to feel a bit more anxious, but I remember that it doesn't last nearly as long as other drugs. But then I start thinking about other drugs and realize that I have the sensation of tripping. To me it as excited jumpy feeling in my stomach that fluxes in waves from the center of my bod has minimal visuals. I tell myself that this a rare opportunity to explore something new, although I still didn't expect to feel as trippy as I did. We then have some bourbon and chill out, and smoke more.
Overall this was an interesting drug, although for me I think less would have been more. It wasn't too bad though, and it wasn't too great, It just was. This would definitely be good on the come up of an LSD trip, because I feel as though it would prepare you for the experience, but also chill you out. It may even be a good stepping stone into psychedelics in general. However my friends are pretty dependent on this stuff, so approach with caution.
