Just wondering, if going to a new doc., is Roxi/Oxy. available at pharmacies. What about MsCont./IR. Informed responses please.

Yes, probably every pharmacy in the US has those unless they've already sold to many this week and ran out.

I think he's asking more if there are any pharmacies around him that still have stock of those products. apparently all the pharmacies in S Florida run out all the time.

I think they don't do out of state patients anymore, and the poster above me is right, I think you have to fill whatever script in that county, and usually the crooked counties are the ones that run out quick from what I understand.

glad I don't have to worry about that. I got a script for 60 Morphine CR's in my wallet now. too bad I can't fill it until the 10th though. she post dated it. :(

Exactly, wondering about Lee co, Dade county, or Broward co. Which would be best. I know Lee is Gulf coast but its actually better for me. Opinions?

Why do they run out? I realize there are alot of scripts written for opiates in that area, but why don't they buy enough to keep them in stock? Seems like they would get tired of losing sales to the competition.

I dunno about out of county scripts, but I lived in St. Pete in Pinellas county until last month and managed to cash in scripts for oxy/roxi every month. A lot of places do run out, and sometimes it meant driving to 3 or 4 different pharms, but someplace would always come through eventually.

The filling of the out of county scripts is a pharmacy to pharmacy deal. Most of the ones around me will. Some will take an out of county script and an out of county ID while some you need an ID in that county. One local one would take scripts from anywhere but stopped it unless you are already on file there and they fill from W. palm and this is flagler county. And the guy said most places in the country would have these and that is really really untrue. Many places will not carry them at all. Some places won't keep them in stock put will order them after you drop off a script. And the ones I go to sometimes don't have them. There are shortages, they can't keep them in stock, they can only get so many from the state distributors at one time and so many people get them here. Than you also have the FDA stopping the manufactures from making for periods at a time because the factories fail to meet the standards. As for MS contin you should have no problems with that because it is not in as much demand its all about the 30's these days. And I don't know about other states but with the 30mg oxy in Florida the prices at some of the pharmacies have doubled, some not all, there are a few where you can fill 180 30's 90 15's and 60 xanax bars for $260 which was how it was before but some places it cost me $400 just for the 30's.

If you only want "informed" opinions you should probably be asking this in one of the local forums where you might actually find people who reside in that part of the country.

Most Are Out....

It all depends on which Pharmacy you go too...Most are experience a shortage now because of the new law that went into affect Oct.1..That there is no more "In-House" dispensing I know of a few good ones but I will not post them here as I dont want every1 going but if you message me I can help you out...Good Luck..My advise is to go in the beginning in the month before most pharmacies reach there quota for the month and are out due to the new law passed in June that each pharmacy is only allowed to get a certain amount of Rox-30 per month..Try and switch to the 15's that what I had my Dr. do for 1 of my scripts!!
