i was recently given Zoloft for OCD(i didn't know i had it, but i told my doc about how everything always bugs me and i always stress over things and he said it was OCD). anyway i also have anxiety and (to a lesser extent)depression so my doc said an SSRI would help me.

now i didn't really want to be on an SSRI antidepressant, but the OCD symptoms just kept getting worse so i figured what the hell. since starting it i've been having seriously bizarre fucked up dreams, a weird "fuzzy" feeling, and everybody says i'm acting "off"(they say i get overly enthusiastic, seem overly happy, and overall different).

i can feel a difference, there seems to be a "filter" on my emotions filtering the bad feelings and just letting the happy thoughts through.

is this shit normal, or i'm i having a bad reaction to it?

No that's definitely not normal as SSRI's take up to 6-8 weeks (for some people even more) to begin to take effect. You don't just pop a pill and your depression and anxiety are gone for the day (like benzos).

The only thing we can tell you is to talk to your doctor about it.

I'm closing this thread because we aren't doctors and cannot diagnose your problem. The only advice anyone can give you is to talk to your doctor and be honest with him/her.
