Misc [Rx Drug Addicts] Do you think your pharmacist can tell?

Like, I pick up my Morphine script every 14 days...today being that day :D, in an hour when they open....but, I'm ALWAYS in withdrawal to some degree when I go, usually moderate or severe...and I feel like they MUST notice I'm very pale and shaky and sweaty EVERY TIME? And I don't wanna be like "Sorry, I have the flu" [as I wipe sweat off my face and try to stop my nose leaking]...like how often can one have the flu?
Or do they probably think I'm just a disgusting chud who is perpetually snotty and sweaty and gross for no reason?

Maybe they just think you have an unfortunate medical condition that leaves you unwell and requires morphine to treat..which is kind of true.

Surely, if you're picking up a morphne script, then they know exactly what the score is...

I would bet they think nothing of you and your script. At worst they think you’ve gamed the system and are on the lookout for any signs of diversion. At best, they think you’re a nice fellow with an unfortunate pain problem. But the likely explanation is that they don’t think of you at all.

practical worst case is likely to be they evaluate you and report back to your prescriber, if they're not asking you then you're under the radar, save a dose for collection day if you're that worried?

they shouldn't withhold though, needs to be a clinical decision I think.

there's also other real reasons why you might be in withdrawal, missed a dose, need to talk to your prescriber about increasing dosage, dependence on morphine.

I guess the question then is if they ask/or should you offer up, that you're using other opiods if you are, hmm depends on your prescriber I guess, how sympathetic are they to helping managing your withdrawal overall?

Of course pharmacists can tell. Some are annoying about it others can be even better than the doctor.

I would get my 300mg morphine 400mg pregab 30mg diazepam/day to that pharmacy in the middle of that rough area. It was secured scripts and machine controlled stocks as all my drugs where listed as actual drugs. She noticed I went down on the diazepam when waiting for the machine to sort the meds. She congratulated me saying it's great that I am on the good path. Almost left a tear. Then scored some cocaine and got the needles to shoot all of that.

I've had pharmacist that would snitch, others that wouldnt deliver scripts for some reasons. But they all know what it's all about

They’re probably more worried about the guy that’s back for the third time this week trying to fill another script of pain meds from a third different dentist

If you haven’t already been calling for two days trying to get it filled earlier then I wouldn’t sweat it…no pun intended

The suboxone is a dead tip off, yes ... Had to leave walgreens but I made a giant fool out of the pharmacist as he very curtly and quite loud "You don't like the service go get your FUCKING DRUGS SOMEWHERE ELSE" and this dude puts some heat on the bag with the bottles in it bounces it off the counter, I step out of the way....it hits and older gentleman in the stomach, mid 60s early 70s. I excuse myself pick them up off the floor -- Dude just looks stunned at what happened "Customer service aint what it use to be" and walks on. True story

No your pharmacist cannot tell and if they can that is 100% on you. These people are human pez dispensers with busy jobs and lives of they own, inspecting each customer will drive away business and they are smart enough to know that in most cases.

1. Dont call in early or make a scene at the counter
2. Dress decent
3. Dont show up visibly fucked up or in w/d's.
4. Don't take any shit

I don't know but that is roughly how I view them.

Story time and most of ya'll prolly heard this one but when I was first scripted temazepam some snot nosed disgusting chud of a pharm tech decided that 3 30's in a night was an unheard of dosage and all but accused me of forging the script. (Had no valid or legal reason not to) --- Doctor reamed his pez dispensing ass and told him that is absolutely not his position -- his position is to verify the script and fill it; give any information that I ask.... Not override the doctor and accuse me of a felony --- I tried so hard to get them to directly accuse me of forging it but there is CLEARLY an SOP on how to handle that. THAT FUCK LOST HIS JOB.

Now of course treat me with respect it is a two way street; LAST THING I WANT is to shitcan a working stiff-- they wanna cut throats let get pezzy, err petty. The actual pharmacist aint going anywhere but your contact with him/her/etc is pretty minimal?
