Russia decriminalizes entire range of drugs

holy fuck! this is probably the boldest move.. and if its actualyl successful in reducing addiction cases, the US has a lot to answer.

I think Russia made a really good decision here.

Still skeptical about them legalizing a gram and a half for cocaine and heroin tho:/

Yea, it sounds like good news but it doesn't seem right. I lived in Russia before and the country was never even close to liberal when it involved drugs. Most people view drug addicts as the scumof the earth and the government always persecuted drug users. It is definately not something that the people there voted for and I am sure there some other reason that the government did rather than because it realized that the drug policy did not make sense. Either way, they are going to extort you for money at the very least if they catch you with drugs. Police there does what they want and they don't follow a strict set of guidelines like in other countries.

Hmm, plane tickets ...

Los-Angeles – Moscow: $690-$900 US

:( Well if we're not coming back I could sell my car, no doubt I can find a cheaper one there ;)
My language skills are seriously lacking (i.e. non-existant) though.

"Now drug addicts have the right to run around with their pockets full of marijuana, and we can't even detain them."

man thats a funny sentence... POCKETS FULL OF WEED THE WORLD IS FUCKING OVER!!!! Crazy as drug addicts with their damn pockets full of weed! Ready to shoot anyone who tries to get in their way!

Oh, to again walk the cobblestone steps of the mighty Red Square, but this time sketched out on a gram of tweak! 88o

Having visited the former Soviet Union in 1991, while still under Communist rule, I wonder what it must be like now to be able to be so free in a country that was once so oppressive. 8)

The tides have now turned, though, as mentioned in an earlier post. The US is now a police state, and with this latest news coming out of Russia...who'd've thunk some of us would wanna get the hell outta America and go live in Russia?! ;)

Funny how shit comes full circle in life, even for countries... 8(

But the good thing, though, is now not only can two people of the same sex legally marry each other in Taxachusetts, but they can now both comfortably hang out in Mayakovsky Square in Moscow on their honeymoon while strung out on crystal meth! :p

People...our global society is changing!! Power to the tweakers...I mean people! %)

Who would have thought that Russia would become the "land of the free" and the USA would become a police state. :(

HA! Good luck finding tweak in Russia :-P

who said I would have to resort to trying to find tweak in russia? I'd stuff an 8 ball up my ass until i passed Russian customs at Moscow's international airport, Sheremyetevo-II, and then go do a fucking BUMP or four hundred in their dilapidated stinky urine-ass bathroom!!!!!!! LOL

But that's just me.

"I wonder what it must be like now to be able to be so free in a country that was once so oppressive. "

i must say that's very debatable.... i watched new coverage about that hostage crisis where all those civilians got killed. with the chechen rebels, happened last year.

there was some pissed off mother who stormed the stage and started yelling at the government officials. she didnt have a weapon or anything, just an angry parent yelling at the government. then, this nurse quietly snuck up behind her and injected her in the ass with some tranq, and they just dragged her off the stage.

that country is still corrupt as fuck, like that guy said about the police and shit. i would never want to live there.

i have no problem with going on with my illicit activities, and just being careful and not getting caught.

hopefully Russia will get over the soviet era some day, but i dont think it will until all the former soviet politicians die.
