Running out of veins

I cannot find any H down here...everything is completely drying up. I do have a decent hook on the fent, but it's more, it's always around and affordable than really my choice of drugs. I would much rather be doing H, oxy's, roxy's, or dillie's. But unfortunately shit is dissappearing. I was originally doing the gel patches of fent and only had to break them down with water and heat, when I quit having access to the gel it switched to the shitty transdermal patches and was told to use vinegar to do it with, actually it was on here several times. I finally found a vein last night after about an hour. I've givin up on my arms, found one in my calf but it's out now and I can't find it on the other leg. I didn't find the one in my hip don't know if I have the right length needle or not though. Anyways, all is well I guess, my veins aren't in great shape but don't know what else to do. Been doing shit for too long to just stop and let it all heal, believe me it takes more than a few days and I'm not really up for detox so it is what it is. Thanks for all the help.

Question though, why does someone have to be "desperate" to use the vein in there neck? I mean really isn't one junkie just the same as the other, that's a little hipocritacle isn't it? I mean really the vein in my neck is my favorite one I don't have to tie off and hit it almost everytime. The only reason it's out of commision now is bc someone else hit me and missed and the vinegar doesn't fair very well out of the vein. Anyways, thanks for all the advice.

Have you tried the femoral vein near your groin? No more dangerous than the jugular really; maybe for DVTs. Place a finger on where you feel the pulse the strongest (on the inner thigh near the groin), then put another finger next to it towards your mid-line; the vein will be somewhere under that second finger. Start farther away from the pulse first, and under no condition hit exactly where the pulse is. You'll need to go in at 90 degrees, and unless you're really thin regular insulin syringes are not going to be long enough; might need a 1" or even 1.5" needle.
If you can find anywhere else, do that first. Except the vein on the dick for guys, there's no site more dangerous than the neck and groin; but part of harm reduction is accepting people are going to try this site, so they might as well be told how to minimize the chance of puncturing that artery (which is MUCH worse than any artery in your arm/wrist you surely have hit before).

that's ridiculous....
For you information, thats coming from someone who shot heroin for a few years. I'm not a teetotaler, and I don't judge people for being "junkies." I am a junkie.
But the neck is still desperation. Everybody I know (I know a lot of junkies) knows that if you're resorting to hitting your neck you've fucked some shit up bad.
Anyone I know who got near that point (like me), blew out all their veins, reconsidered what the fuck they were doing when the neck came into the equation.

As somebody who started hitting the neck and groin a few months ago, I absolutely agree it's a sign of desperation; as all my other veins have been lost over the course of 6 years of injecting anywhere from 3 to dozens of times per day, every day (except for 42 days spent in jail).

Veins that become inaccessible because of scar tissue can heal, but it's my understanding collapsed veins do not heal in any reasonable time period (maybe decades later they'll come back). But even if they heal enough to be used again, they're still damaged and will vanish again very quickly.

i hear about people using the kneck ,and from when i saw somone hit there kneck wouldnt that result in an artery hit? i mean couldnt you hit the jugular by accident

i cant remember what veins are in the kneck

as far as veins if they are collapsed BAD then they may NEVER return ,but every vein showing i had is now unvisible ,now i said this earlier but ill explain a bit more

look at ANY bodybuilder that actually cares about lifting ,or and carpenter,or a tree climber who has to grip a chainsaw with one hand all day ...all of them have geat forearm veins and other veins in the bodybuilder case

we should just concentrate on the bodybuilder cause everyone can find SOMTHING to use a a "dumbell" or do pushups ,the more you strain the more oxygen is needed to keep your muscle growing now what brings this oxygen to the muscle .....veins yea (good job) ...the more of a PUMP you get the more your veins are being "stretched" ,under constant stress the veins will get larger and the mucle firmer pushing the vein(s) outward

now if you have collapsed veins then OTHER smaller veins will take over the work ,and in my case they showed up out of nowhere ,lots of hydration makes them pop out as well ,cause the water is carried through veins as well

this will not happen over night, but within a couple weeks of heavy intense training(do not go to far and tear a tendon though) somthing will either be felt of pop out ,my hand veins "collapsed" so i thought but they are back ,not like new but none the less are back ,it hurts like hell to hit a collapsed vein cause its basically forcing itself through ,so give it time till you dont have to tie off to see the veins

dont get all happy when you fee/see a vein and stop lifting cause it will fade if you start jabbing it everyday KEEP LIFTING ,hydrating yourself ..but dont go chugging 2-3 gallonsof water cause you will get to much water in the veins and fuck shit up basically and possible die

I mean honestly, do you really have to resort to insulting me? Do you even use drugs? If you do then who are you to say what type of drug use is "okay" and what is "wrong"? We are all using, some of us just happen to enjoy using the same drugs in different ways, either way we're all the same.

I have the same problem as you, I've been doing this for a few years now. I found that the ones I started using first, and stopped working first, came back after a few months. Maybe you can try those old ones. Tie a tournaquet, pump your fist, and wait a min, and just look around and see if you can see anything pop. I rarely have the patience for that but it works.

You can also try to drape your arm over the arm of the couch for a few mins. I hit3 veins in my arms, 3 different veins in both my hands. I used to go all up and down my forearms up to my wrists, but I've heard that's dangerous so I can't reccommend doing that. All I can say is that I did get them to hit. And I've gotten the tops of my feet to hit once each.

I've tried my neck and I couldn't get it. I've tried my ankles and couldn't get it. I've tried that femoral vein mentioned above and couldn't get it, although maybe I could with a longer tip.

I browse these threads cuz I'm always looking for new veins. I know people that have been using the same vein everyday for years, and I'm lucky to get a month out of one with a rotating schedule.

jugular is a vein. on the left side i think? there are also other veins in your neck, but i've never shot there so i wouldn't know which are what.
carotid is an artery on the right i believe. while it's always ridiculous to shoot into your neck, if you end up hitting your carotid.. i'm pretty sure you're dead. or atleast a multiple amputee.

if you're reduced to using your jugular (or any other veins in your neck) i would seek treatment. with haste.

Very high risk sites + citric/acid

bear w me but there seems 2b interest about why the neck is classed as very high risk compared 2 rest of body:

"Because ur neck contains arteries going 2 ur head, nerves, muscles, and air and food pipes, This means that an infection or swelling can become v serious, very quickly; not being in control if someone else is doing it also increases the risk"

Also - to be more specific again w sum info bout citric versus other acids, here ya go for every1 who has expressed an interest:

"Injecting acids can cause vein damage, To keep vein damage to a minimum it is important 2 use as little as possible

Some areas supply sterile citric acid or vit c in sachets because other acids like lemon juice and vinegar can cause serious health problems, incl eye infections that can cause blindness

if u cant get sachets use citric acid or ascorbic acid (vit c) BP, Citric & Vit C powders that dont have the letters BP after the name may contain other substances some of which may be harmful to inject

pain and redness at an injecting site cud be caused by the acid ur injecting - stop injecting there

Always add acids a bit at a time and stop as soon as the drug is dissolved"

If you are using IV Fentanyl every day then that should be a sign to you that you need to quit using. You really can't have a more obvious sign that you are addicted than running out of veins because you shoot up so fucking much. Get some help man. I'm not trying to sound preachy, I'm an addict myself.

You know that vinegar and lemon juice aren't actually acids right? I know they contain acids but I was just making sure that you know or other people know that they are nothing but acid. I know it's common sense but some people seem to lack that.

I know that in the hospital they always give the patient IV drugs when possible but I doubt they would ever shoot anything in someone's neck.

Wow! You are freakin hard core (me likey)!=D

I never said that I wasn't an addict. I'm not interested in getting help. I've been to rehab several times. I'm not ready. Ya, I'm pretty sure that you can assume if someone can't find veins easily that they are probably an addict.

does scarring of the skin after shooting ever go away?

when i first started using I scared a little and when I got on methadone to quit using all of my scars dissappeared. Now that I'm using again when I quit using an area for a while you usually can't tell anything was ever shot up there. Now I have other friends that have horrible scars and I don't think that they will ever go away. I think it really depends on how much you take care of your skin and how well your skin heals.
