Rumoured UK blanket RC ban

You "proper" drugs users are obviously all labouring under the delusion that you are all taking "proper" drugs which are in fact, after all, riddled with RCs ;)

Im talking about getting treatment SI, you aint getting treatment for crap that doesn't show up on tests. I piss tested today and came clean for opiates even though i have been using loads of kratom. Thats why im saying you need to be hooked on gold standards because the system is very Input and output orientated.

You have clearly never pissed in a cup m8

You know the way Computers work with a series of inputs and outputs, well thats the way all Government systems work, NHS, drugs recovery and benefits system. You're not dealing with a Human but a system. Yet you seem to think my post was a boast. yeh man Codeine is something to boast about, i would need to be on the brown to be classified as a winner on this site, The blue light system.

Elitist or not, ya gotta admit that there's a world of difference between someone who takes the time to research whatever substance they're buying to find out dosage, effects, HR etc. and the chav in the pub that buys a random white powder and boshes a load of it because he's used to UK 'speed' and 'coke' and ends up face down in a pond...

Of course (although I do think there is some crossover too - I know I've done deeply non-HR things in my time (usuallly alcohol was also involved, naturally :o)). I would maybe liken it to the difference between yer 20 pints and a kebab every weekend night kinda chap and yer bloke with an extensive wine cellar who will insist on boring you to tears ensuring that you are familiar with every aspect of this cheeky lil number from seedling to salesman.

Both enjoy what they do, the latter is definitely better informed, both get sloshed a lot. Or you could make the latter fella a real ale afficionado or a homebrewer or whatever. The point being that both share a common interest with one choosing to dig deeply and make it more of a hobby than a casusl interest. This doesn't make him "better" - they just want different things. The important thing is that Mr 20 Pinter needs to have the information available to him to inform him of the potential outcomes of the choices he makes. At the moment that information is available but nothinig like as easy to access as it should be for those who do not consider themselves to be drug nerds. Never occurred to me to research drugs online til I got bored one night whilst buying "legal highs" online - I only came to find out which were "the best" and it just so happened that I gradually discovered an interest in drug nerdiness that I never had prior to that.

That simply is not true. When was the last time you saw anybody here encouraging people to use heroin? It really does seem like these problems you seem to find with the world and everything in it has a lot more to do with your attitude, outlook and approach than it does with what is actually out there. I am sorry to hear you've had difficulties being taken seriously for drug treatment - you are not the only person in this position and it really is a problem.

I'd suggest speaking with doctors and DSP services - obviously you already are but you need to keep at it and keep going back. Ultimately you are dealing with people just as much as you are with a system and those people get to know you and know when a person needs help. Yes it may take longer and you probably will have to help to inform them by pointing them in the direction of legitimate online resources. I've had to do that for years - and still there are those who simply refer to "Legal Highs" and lump it all together under outdated misconceptions about it all be horny goat weed and the like - but for the most part I am taken seriously and I am given appropriate treatment.

It shouldn't need to be so hard to get help for non-standard drug use but it is at the moment whilst drug services take time to catch up with how the drug world is rapidly changing around them. I know it's shitty but you just have to keep at it if you want to make progress - yes it would be "easier" in some ways to just walk in with a standard scag habit and walk out with a script cos that is what they are used to. That is not the reality of every addict's drug use though and that doesn't make them any less addicted or in any better a position than the fella who never uses anything but gear. Will take time for drug services to catch up but they are catching up and it's folk like us who can help that along by trying to inform the people we interact with and explain that not all drugs do trigger positive tests. Stick at it and best of luck <3
