Rules, rituals and etiquette of smoking

First of all, to clear up the direction thing, it's to the left. The problem with rules is that eventually you realize that there are too many, and everyone's differ, sometimes it even ruins a smoke session when people get gay. Just chill back and don't be stingy.

^I guess the 'left/right' argument is cleared up now that you say so.

While I know of stingy users, I don't blame some of them because of all of the moochers out there. I personally don't think it is out of the question to ask for money for blow.. the stuff is not cheap. If you want some, buy your own or pitch in.. its the least you can do if you want some and don't even have to go out of your way to find some. I agree that social drug use should be just that, social, but why do some people feel that they are somehow "owed" or are entitled to free lines? Think of the supplier, no one wants to wake up after a night of sharing a ball with an empty wallet. It shouldn't be the responsibility of that person to ask, they don't want to be "gay" and come off like a douche if they are trying to share.

Weed on the other hand.. cheap. If you can't afford to share back and forth with people, you should stop smoking the shit and get a job. Seriously.

My smoking circle is basicaly... well... we dont really have any set rules, pass to the right or left, doesn't matter really. The only rule we DO have, is whoever rolls it, sparks it, whoever supplied it, is second. None of that puff puff pass shit, we just take a few tokes, dont know the number cause it always differs, basicaly, if one person takes 5 tokes, THEN passes it, the tokes the other people missed are made up for in the rounds to come, its nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. The one thing that pisses me off though, about smoking, is when people seem to think a joint is a microphone, holding it for five mins, talking the whole time, while its still burning and not even taking a toke, that just gets me angry.

i hate the person who, RIGHT BEFORE ITS MY HIT, decides its time to give the whole goddamn living room a shotgun.

and then they look at me "You wanna charge?"

"FUCK NO, I WANT TO HOLD/HIT/PASS THE BLUNT" dumbass

whats the deal with shotguns anyway?

We have rollers rights
Breaking the roto means you lose a hit.

We usually call neighbors(2nd hit) then trebs(3rd Hit and quabs(4th hit). The person always gets first hit unless rollers rights apply. We dont let more thne 4 on a bowl thats the rule no more then 5 on a blunt no more then 4 on a Joint. If where at a party we can pick who we want to smoke depending on who we like the most. Sorry folks but If Im not too much of a friend with you dont count on me smoking you down. Around here you have to take the initiative if you want to smoke with someone.

When your ripping a blunt and you take a shotgun you get fucking high!!!!!

"As I pass the dreadlocks' camp I heard them say:
Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side"

yeah i know technically a dutchie is a cooking pot, but we always sang it while smoking.

definitely to the left btw.

but my smoking circle is fking weird. we try so hard not to be moochers that sometimes we get carried away. the person that packed it normally tries to give away the green rip (and sometimes the person it is offered to will refuse, as to not be a mooch! [as odd as that probably sounds to people]) ...

we pass to the left

always save enough green so that everyone gets some on the first rotation

first hit is a toss up, usually goes to who's weed it is, or the guy who packed it or rolled it. sometimes the supplier/preparer offers it to whoever, we're very friendly

and we don't stop until everyone's baked, so if one guy is a little behind everyone else gets a little more messed up from hitting another bowl.

I mentioned it earlier, but does nebody else only pack one hit at a time when ur rippin a piece? I never used to do it, but my cousin from outta state started me on it. It makes every hit so clean and tasty because u can clear the ash everytime.

To te left? Is that the same thingas toilets flushing backwards in the southern hemisphere? Always pass to the right kids.

Pass left cause its clockwise me thinks.

Usualy with us in the case of a joint, roller gets to start it, supplier gets 2nd, and it goes left from there. And if you juice it, wipe it off, or have a sore arm.

Edit: Ghasp, 666 posts. The devil is going to pee on me tonight.

If there's one thing I really don't like, it's stingy smokers. Seriously, it won't kill you to be generous with your weed. It's not THAT expensive.

If its not that expensive then you should be fine enough to buy your own and match on it.

i have always beleived in passing to the left, because the right way is wrong! the person who's green it is ALWAYS gets first hit (it's their stuff). Clean the table of all stems and seeds (hiding the evidence), put the bong/pipe back where you got it from, and the most important ritual is being accepting to those who are smoking with you, weather they are some random or someone you have known for years. There is nothing worse than being stoned in a group and someone has a problem with you for, lets say, the music you listen too.

Oh, and always clear the chamber and the cone so the next person doesn't get what you left behind.
