A pint of blood is worth more than a pint of gold.
How expensive is this suit?
OH MY GODI am not an empathic person. I don't feel for others very well. I am self-centered and choose to shut out things that I find displeasing. In the end, I would allow pure laziness under the guise of uncertainty to keep me from jumping in. I have always held back in the face of types of uncertainty and have failed to make better decisions because of that. Human life is great and all, but if I don't take my life too seriously, I won't take seriously the life of a stranger.
of course, there may not be an ethical difference. you can come up with whatever proofs and thoughts you want, though,Is this a moral difference? It seems clear to me that it is not.
The kid's white, right?
made me chuckle
most people would save the kid, unless it meant swimming out into deep waters. i agreee with what thujone said earlier, this question doesnt cover any real possiblities - like what kind of waters the child is in, etc. etc. etc. - and it comes across as a bit offensive to me. it is obviously an attempt to make people identify themselves as either "goodie two shoes" or "callous bastards." when usually its not that simple.
