RPG fans, post your hidden gems!

I didn't take the time to read all the posts so these may have been said but some of my favorite rpgs are
snes - super mario rpg, chronno trigger, secret of mana, 7th saga
n64 - quest 64
xbox - kotor 1 & 2
edit - damn, just noticed finder^, but still 7th saga is a true calssic and deserves more recognition

for SNES: Lufia 1 and 2 are two of the better RPGs on that wonderful system. I highly suggest the second although both are great.

*slaps head* of course! Lufia is WONDERFUL!

Not counting Zelda on the NES, this was actually my first traditional RPG. Great game. I got a bad impression when I first started Laufia 2, so I never went on... but perhaps I should. I also never checked out the GBA Laufia.

The GBA Lufia is an extremely broken game, but it gets put on underated lists a lot. I have the game and think it sucks...but that's just me. I LOVED Lufia 1 and 2.

I am really getting into Persona for the PS now...

It even has the now-extinct K-A rating =D. Too bad this game is virtually unknown. If the shin megami games are anything like that, I'd love to check them out as well.

it's part of the Shin Megami series so....if you love a dark game like that you'd love the rest of the series.

The Persona 3 is about to be released or already is, but i have heard bad things about it so..? i dunno but ill buy it anyways.

Persona 2 is good too.

i agree with all the RPGs posted so far, except for 7th saga and Robotrek. neither of them are terrible.. but theyre not hidden gems either. if i had to choose between the two i'd choose Robotrek though, the robot thing is at least kind of interesting.. nothing about 7th saga really stands out. its just lackluster all around

Vandal Hearts 1 and 2, Final Fantasy Tactics were some gems of the TRPGs of the first Playstation (I liked better VH, although FF Tactics was solid).
I'm planning on buying the new Vandal Hearts from the XBox Live marketplace.

For PC: of course the two Fallout, but I like the very unloved and underrated Fallout Tactics too. Yes I'm a fan of tactical RPGs, lol.

Valkyria Chronicles on PS3.

It's a turn-based, tactical, RPG Shooter... lol what a combo... It actually works though.

If you have a PS3, you can get the game brand-new at a Gamestop if they have it.

^ If it's turn-based, the better. But unfortunately I don't own a PS3, I've given my money to Microsoft's 360 (mainly for Dead Rising in 2006).

But thanks for the suggestion anyway ;)

I'm ashamed about that I forgot about Earthbound. That game was sooooo good.

The Mother 3 (earthbound's sequel) should be getting it's finished fan translation too pretty soon, well it better.

oh and i forgot about Harvest Moon. Who ever thought a farm simulator could be so addictive. Harvest Moon 64 was when the series peaked in my opinion, although i own all of them, that was the only one that took time away from school.

Oh man yes.... Harvest Moon 64 was by far the best one. I remember trying to maximize my time in that game by taking the shortest possible paths everywhere. Having your tools 'Level-Up!' in that game was a great feeling also. It was the one and only 'sim' game that truly stuck to my heart.

I was extremely disappointed when Harvest Moon came to PS2. Try as I may, try as I might, I could not get the 16yo girl Katie that lived above the bar to marry me. I always ended up with the damn orange haired chick.
