My friend "T" was thinking about iv'n some roxicodone. You say there is no rush like coke, dilaudid, morph? Then why do people do it. Glad "T" read this first. Was going to do it first thing in am. "T" already has a high tolerance and oral's about 100-160 mg a day. Tell me more....welcome all opinions....Thanx
Because people are dumb and see others shooting oxycodone and they assume "Oh, if I don't shoot it, I'm wasting it" when there is no advantage to IV oxycodone besides a negligible gain in bioavailability, and an instant onset that many confuse as a rush, but there's a difference between a bona fide rush, and feeling the full effects of a drug instantly, a rush is something on TOP of instant onset.
By the way, we don't use "My friend/SWIM" here or any variants on it. If you're already taking 100-160mg orally then honestly you cannot beat that by injecting, you would feel exactly the same high as normal/oral but it will be of shorter duration with a more pronounced come-down (from my experience).
Oxycodone was formulated to be absorbed nearly 90% orally through your GI tract, it's one thing for people to IV morphine and dilaudid, because they have like more than 3-4x a gain in bioavailability compared to orally and on top of that, produce a strong rushing sensation when IV'd, for this reason many IV drug users prefer to inject these drugs and take their oxys orally.
I can honestly say that I don't know anyone that shoots oxycodone. I remember EVERYONE trying them at some point and even the most hard-core needle addicts went back to popping their oxycodone, cos even they know what's good for them.
A few people claim to get a rush from oxycodone IV'd but even if they did, it's still not worth a negligible gain in bioavailability and a shorter duration of effects. Orally is the best way to take oxycodone man, don't mess around with anything else it's not worth it.
This topic has been covered already in this thread, I'm closing it.
