Hello fellow Bluelighters.

I'm currently travelling around South-East Asia. I left home on 22nd November half way through a Diazepam taper. I started at 30mg per day around 20th September cutting by 5mg every 2 weeks at my doctors orders and was on 10mg Diazepam & 600mg Pregabalin per day when I left (22nd November). I eventually stopped the Pregabalin gradually but not in true taper style (i.e - no daily reduction, just days where I would only take 300mg and then other days where I would not dose at all) This was fairly pain free..

The last of my Diazepam I quit early (Jumped off at 10mg per day) But the withdrawals became too devere so I went to the hospital where they provided me with 120x5mg Diazepam, unfortunately I abused these and felt like I almost ended up back at square one! Since then I began a taper again at 30mg per day but would have the odd day every couple of weeks where I may binge on 50 - 150mg Diazepam and then I plan to wait a few days where I will reintroduce myself on a 30mg per day taper cutting around 2.5mg every 2 weeks.

I recently went to a Pharmacy where they gave me a pack of 30mg Rotundin (Tetrahydropalmatine) Tablets which are supposed to help with my sleep and anxiety.

Does anybody else have experience with this medication? Should I continue to take it with my Diazepam or could I possibly quit the Diazepam cold turkey and use the Rotundin to help with my withdrawal symptoms? And then maybe taper the Rotundin if necessary? I still have some Pregabalin with me but I really don't want to take this as it increases weight gain and blunts my intellect (Not that I'm a genius anyway! =D

Any imput appreciated. Thanks all ;)
