I am beginning to get curious about how often I should be rotating injection sites...
Since I am relatively new to consistently shooting dope (I used to do it every once in a while, but now I have started to shoot up maybe 2-3 times per day). I often like to hit the same spot or maybe a few millimeters up or down my vein, simply because I know exactly where the vein is since I hit the last time I did a shot.
I am wondering, though, how do I know when I should give a certain spot a rest and start injecting somewhere else for a little while? Are there any signs, such as pain, bleeding more than normal, redness, etc., that would indicate that I should probably rotate my injection spot? I decided to rotate to a new spot today as after a while of hitting the same spot it began to get a little harder to push the needle in, hurt a little bit more, and bleeds a little bit more than if it were a fresh injection site.
How often do you guys rotate spots, and how do you know when its about time to rotate?
Stay safe everyone.
