I've done the equivalent before... I've even taken mdma 3 times within a week (with a pretty large discrepancy in doses [increasing]). The third time I took it I went to a rave, and had a really good time. That being said, there was a decrease in how much it was effecting me positively (I still felt very stimulated, but not quite as euphoric as I had felt in the past). I would say the doses went something like this for the week:
Sunday - 130 mg
Wednesday - 80 mg (insufflated)
Saturday - 230 mg (rave day!)
This was over a month ago. I haven't taken MDMA since then, but probably will in a week or two.
I didn't notice any notable problems with focus, fatigue, or depression following this pseudo-binge. I'd like to reiterate that I still really enjoyed the rave and felt like I was rolling, even after all that usage. If you're eating a balanced diet, sleeping well and abstaining from copious amounts of other psychologically intense drugs or alcohol, I don't think there would really be any physical danger in taking it once a week for a few weeks.
Regarding "loss of magic", I think that can be an issue of perspective, or what each individual user wants out of the drug. In my personal opinion, I think that a lot of people put way to much focus on the effects of the drug alone. There's a lot of discussion on here about tolerance, vitamin C, boosting with 5-htp etc.. A drug like MDMA has powerful effects on the brain, but just like with LSD and other hallucinogens, set and setting are as important, if not more important than the overall effect of the drug itself. I'm not dismissing the idea of a loss of magic, because it's so widely confirmed among users, unlike with other hallucinogens, I just think that people sometimes expect too much from the drug, and that can be more debilitating than a tolerance build up. Not everyone wants to to take MDMA and have a mind-expanding, transcendent experience each time. Personally, I only take it so I can feel one with the music, freak out at light shows, and have a good excuse to get touchy-feely with all the sexy rave ladies.
Being responsible with your own health and the health of others should always be your first concern, and as far as I know there isn't any concrete evidence out there that says you rolling once a week for a few weeks will hurt you, as long as you're reasonably healthy. I'm betting you will feel a diminished effect each week, especially if the doses are the same. But if the music is good and you're with good company, I think that it'll be worth it.
Again just my two cents [sense] and my own experiences. Though I'll admit that I binge on different substances quite frequently, so it could just be personal preference.
