Lol, my friends and I promote for raves... we've all dealt with parents who were always asking us what we were doing... are there going to be drugs, ect? And what I found out throughout the years is that the most stupid shit (cover ups) actually worked the best.

I don't see how sunglasses and gloves are so out of the blue especially when going to a rave. People wear them who are 25 and live on their own.... and a lot of people rock bandanas too.

I think it would be much weirder to his parents if they had arms full of kandi.

Or the op and his friends can just find another ride. I've gotten rides from pa to dc.... pa to nyc.... eastern pa to pittsburgh... pa to west Virginia. .. all from fellow ravers. So many people will offer you a ride.

Asking for a general consensus on an online forum kind of suggests he doesn't think (or know) he can handle it..

Even if you THINK you got away with it.. there's still a chance you actually didn't.. Even if nothing is said / done.. it may raise suspicion for future, unavoidable circumstances.

To be honest I got away with being on all sorts of drugs around my parents.. but that's only because they trust me.. I had to flat out lie.. something I truly regret.. (They know now, of course)

Very true.....

And yup I always had to lie... lying is the key, even though it's wrong to do.... it works though. My mother always trusted me even after she found out I used drugs. I was open to her about it but I just lied and said how I wasn't using anymore, she believed me. If op has his parents trust then this will work to his advantage.

If you have any problems with the way I post, please PM me about them. If I WAS a mod and closed this (which I likely would not have, but expressed the same point to the OP) and someone were to ask me to reopen it, there would be little doubt that it would have been reopened.


and as far as searching goes, after the MEGA threads are created (and used) and the directory updated, there shouldn't be any problem finding anything as it will be right in from of your face



As far as ED currently goes though, it's just a bunch of small random threads spaced out and cluttering the forums.

freshman or sophmore year of highschool bout 20 of us went n saw green days american idiot tour in FW

bout 4-5 moms drove us out there n took us home, they knew we were all high as shit, they stopped for gas at a loves/mcdonalds gas station, all they stopped for was gas, 20+ kids get out of the car n every single one of us headed for that mcdonalds

one of my friends moms said something to me as i walked towards the gas station, i turned around n said what, but i still didnt hear what she said so instead of saying what again i just said yea n kept walkin

turns out she asked "are you high" she still reminds me of this when i see her to this day, tho its been awhile since ive seen her after she tried to have a one on one intervention with me about my heroin use n i got dopesick n threw up in her driveway :\


oh n even tho he has rubbed me the wrong way in the past i think Folley would be a pretty good ED mod, especially if he wants the position cuz lord knows its a thankless job

Like I said.. based on that post alone :p I've read a few of your other posts before (rarely come to ED anymore) any yeah.. you seem to know what you are talking about.. but giving advice is completely different to having *some sort of* power.

Megathreads are usually unhelpful when looking for a particular thing. If you want to learn about a drugs duration of affects, a general consensus of whether or not it's any good and a general idea of what the affects are then yeah, use the megathreads.. other than that, imo, they are completely useless unless you want to go through post by post to find an answer, which most people don't want to and don't do.. but even then a question could be asked and it could lead to 1 or 2 answers every other page.

ED always has been a forum with a bunch of small threads in.. Like I said.. There are no more original questions to be asked.. If we had it your way we should basically close the forum and tell everyone to go read erowid instead.

I don't mean to cause any offence.. This is just my opinion <3
 
I say you should go for the roll. My parents personally never did any drugs so they are not too well educated at all. I've come home at 5 in the morning with pupils the size of saucers for the months and they never caught. I remember one time just blazing after the club and coming home, mouth was extremely dry so I grabbed 6 waters and layed on the couch. My Mom comes out sees me and still doesn't notice haha. Now your parents might not be so uneducated on drugs but like some people have said it isn't too hard to pull off. After I told my parents I do mdma they claim that they had a suspicion but didn't wanna believe it, however I pulled it off usually.

Well if your coming up by 9 or 9:40 and don't redose I think you all will be coming down slowly by the time your picked up. Just avoid eye contact if you can but if your getting looked at look them in the eyes not the ground. Just act normal, try not to be so loved up too because that's a good hint too. I think you can pull it off, even if you get caught though it's not the end of the world. How old are you though? only could see it a problem if your under 18 and even then life goes on. Just be cool, plus if you have experience rolling in public your good.

Heres the thing. My parents think I'm innocent. They let me go to partys all the time with drugs because they think I would never do anything. They honestly have absolutely no education of how mdma affects the body and what to look for. My dad who is 64 used to be a hippy is super chilled out and would definitely never get paranoid and up in our business about me and my friends doing drugs. I have a huge group, and 7 of them including me are gonna be jammed into my dads car. We all have kandi and LED rave glasses and gloves and binkis that we are going in with beforehand. My parents know we are taking them and dont think anything of it haha. I'm gonna make sure to show all of them this thread and have them say what they think. But I really highly doubt my parents will be suspicious. So I just plan on playing loud music and having everyone jam out in the car. My dad will just think we are being silly I hope :P Then we aren't even going back to my place. My dad is dropping us all off at a friends house where my friends parents will be asleep :)
 
so you are saying you have it made!!!...why risk changing that?

would you be equally as confident skipping the party and rolling at home with all your buddies? Do you think it would have an impact to how you conductd yourself while rolling if you knew your parents were in the next room? what would they think if they came in to find you all rubbing each other and waving glowsticks in each other's faces?

what do you think would be their reaction if you just came out and asked them if you could do MDMA in thier living room for the night? If you are not open about your drug use to your parents then you obviously think you have something to lose by them finding out.

If you have it made already with parents that let you go out when you want, with whom ever you want, without getting the third degree...why would you jepordize that?
 
So you say your parents are not suspicious. 150 Mg is not that big dose. Take it at 8.00 and by the time 2.00 you probably will come down.
 
Offer your parents if they turn their nose up at least you offered. No one likes a greedy kid.

I agree that the parents will likely know something's up, and even if they don't, the anxiety over hiding it will likely negatively affect the whole experience.

I've got to wonder how expensive taxis are in the original poster's town. I mean, if there are three people splitting a cab, I can't imagine the cost to each individual exceeding much more than $20 or so. But if the cost is truly prohibitive and there is no closer place to crash, I'd suggest skipping the rave.
 
Based on what you've told us, I believe you can pull this off without too much trouble.

If you take your pills at 8.30 or so you'll peak nice and early and will be fairly normal when your dad picks you up at 2.
Or tell your dad to pick you up later and buy yourself some time. Tell him that if a rave ends at 2, you probably won't have your coats and be standing outside before 2.30, maybe 3. If he buys that you'll have 6 hours from the moment the music starts, which is more than enough time.

Even if not, with 7 guys in the car the driver won't be able to focus on one long enough to notice anything strange. I mean, he's talking to seven people at once and driving.
Just to be safe, it might be a good idea to drink a couple of beers during the last half hour of so. The alcohol will calm you down a bit and relax your muscles, including the ones in your face. This way the characteristic pill-face won't be as noticeable and you can blame any residual weird behaviour on beer.


However, this brings the grand total to 5 votes in favour of raving (stayfaded, highonlife, mj, eLW and myself, totalling 15,618 posts) and 5 votes in favour of playing in the forest (matt, folley, ella, rickolas and kpantz, totalling 13,424 posts). Also, two votes in favor of giving your parents some MDMA. You should at least consider this.


It's up to you now, as Bluelight is divided on the issue.

Option 1: The forest. No risk, low reward.
Option 2: The rave. Low/medium risk, high reward.
Option 3: Giving your parents some. Very high risk but wouldn't it be awesome if they said yes?
