anyone ever do this? is it even worth it? i only have a small amount left and i don't want it to go to waste. i've never smoked heroin, so i'm curious as to whether it could put me on my ass (which would be seen in a positive light) is my usual ROA my best bet (nose)?
 
Yes, people do this, but it's not efficient at all, as mentioned, you do not apply direct heat to heroin, especially not a flame or burning ember on the tip of a joint, burning at many hundreds of degrees Fahrenheit.

Foil is your friend.

Side of the lit portion: 400 deg C (or 752 deg F)
Middle of the lit portion: 580 deg C (or 1112 deg F)

Temperature during drawing:
Middle of the lit portion: 700 deg C (or 1292 deg F)

ie. temp at tip of cigarette is greater than vap temp of heroin.

This method has been used for many years.

Personal i find Smack in a roll up a decent way to get high. Maybe it does waste some but if you don't have a massive opiate habit you will get high.
 
Yeah, it certainly does work, I've hit joints with tar in it, the temperature from the burning tip is enough to effectively vaporize some of the heroin when you draw on it, but it tastes gross and I would never waste my own shit in a joint, foil is so much more effective.
 
i ended up just snorting it. had to go to class and wasn't going to rush trying to do something i'd never done before, especially with it being the last of my dope and hearing that there's a certain technique to it. now i'm nodding the fuck out. :(
 
Ohhh I should have read your location. NJ, haha, I assumed you had tar. Probably best to just stick to snorting it. I've never done powder dope in my life, I've only seen it a few times in person.

I haven't done powder, so I can't really make an objective judgement, but I'm going to guess that China White is much better than tar, so you're not missing much.

What you are missing, the 6-MAM, incomplete acetylization of morphine leaving you with heroin and morphine. Basically it's more opiate alkaloids, and 6-MAM is very enjoyable but I don't know how the mix of opioids in tar compares to #4.

Don't get me wrong, lots of people like to say that tar is complete shit, but they probably haven't got good tar. There is such thing as good tar.

I thought heroin was inactive and quickly turned into 6-mam and morphine once in the body. and then the 6-mam turns to morph to.

but ya you can have fire tar or complete shit just like with powder. But you cant have 100% pure tar can you ?
 
I don't know about 100% pure tar, and I don't think that 6-MAM is found in heroin #4. I've never done #4, but tar is supposed to give you a lot more pins and needles due to the morphine content and 6-MAM.

It's in the tar heroin because of incomplete acetylization of the morphine reaction with acetic anhydride.
 
Where I live it's moslty tar as well n it's my DOC. I have been able to get white powder H though and yes, it was much better than the tar meaning I was able to do a lot less to get high. I don't know if what I was getting was #4... i don't think so though. #4 is just fentanyl isn't it or am I totally wrong?? I really enjoy both tar and powder/rock H. Oh yeah, I also got this peanut butter stuff for a while. That shit was fire!
 
No, #4 heroin is china white, just heroin hcl.

Heroin is sometimes adulterated with fentanyl with powder dope, like #4, but #4 does not mean it contains fentanyl, it's referring to diacetylmorphine hydrochloride in powder form.
