I'm really keen on molly even though I've only rolled three times in my life. My first time was just this past September so I'm relatively new to it. I've more or less spaced each out over a two month break so far. (Thanks Bluelight for being a resource in that decision!) Bluelight was the first place I found on the internet where I could tell I could trust the sincerity and experiences of the community. Stumbling upon it was such a relief.

OK anyway:

My main interest is probably understanding the chemistry and science behind mdma (contemporary studies and research especially) as well as collaborating with others on a conception of responsible usage and expanding the parameters of usage beyond the cliche of the "rave-drug."

One note on that last bit - I personally really enjoy raving. Rolling at a Steve Angello show was the nearest thing I've ever had to a religious experience. It's incredible to completely let the animal spirits out of the cage and move us around for a little while, does me a lot of good, very tribal. But I wouldn't begrudge anyone their roll just because they wanna listen to some other genre of music, write in a journal, light candles with their SO, or walk through a park. I've done some of those things rolling already, as many of you have, and the roll is no less potent or insightful.

Do any of you out there agree that the pigeonholing of mdma as a "club" or "rave" drug in the popular consciousness plays right into the hands of alarmists and authority figures who really don't give a damn about the facts, the research, the science, or the potential?

Read up and get as much knowledge as you can about it, but respect it and appreciate those rolls at the same time. Ecstasy shouldn't have a schedule, use for those times you know will be a truly special event and nothing besides that. If you want to continue your use for a few years and enjoy it as much as you do now my advice is space your rolls out some more. Just my 2 cents, but in the end it's your decision. Just keep reading and weigh out the positives with the negatives

fuck raving, it's so predictable...

take ecstasy anywhere but a rave

house parties extra points++++++

I prefer a home environment. Using MDMA at a rave actually seems to decrease the intensity of its effects for me, I probably enjoy the dancing more sober or with an energy drink. The same drug can provide very different experiences depending on the person taking it, so to each their own :)

House parties is the shit rolling. I just love the seduction of the charm I put on people that dont have a clue Im rolling. The ladies just melt in my arms. Not that it doesnt happen regularly.

when X first came around it might have been pigeon holed as a rave drug but in the recent years it has spread into many different types of surroundings, so i dont consider it a rave drug anymore. as for house parties, they get boring as shit doing it in the same places over and over.

Couldn't agree more Leg. It was totally eye opening for me rolling with just my girlfriend at a park and then reading pages of "Peace is Every Step" to each other taking turns and passing the book back and forth. Couldn't have asked for anything more - perfect. What are some quality set and settings you've found your way into if you don't mind sharing?

Interesting that so many people here are repping house parties as awesome places to be rolling. I can believe it. I mean to me it sounds like what you're essentially saying is that just talking/meeting/interacting feels incredible and that the more fluid, dynamic, and in some sense challenging the situation (lots of new faces but you rolled up with a couple good friends maybe?) the higher the sense of your social potential. It's nice to feel like a maestro and be completely on point. Kind of shows you how much presence you're capable of generating.

Reminds me of how at a rave or a music festival after being up in the crowd/dancing for like an hour nothing beats retreating to an overlooking hill or upstairs lounge where you can still hear the music but it's much easier to talk. Sit in a circle, hydrate, and chitchat until you're ready to dive back in. Maybe say hey to the group sitting over there and make the circle bigger.

I'm saying house parties ftw. But not those mental 50+ people ones shit gets way too crowded.

Best set & setting i've ever had was 4 friends all chillin in the same house, probably the best high i've had off any drug that night.
