Whatsup guys, I'ved never rolled before but want to extremely bad. The only thing that has been holding me back is the fear that i might break out with a cold sore the day after since i have read that it lowers your immune system. If there is anyone out there who suffers from cold sores and can give me any info atall on this subject it will be greatly appreciated!

I have gotten cold sores a few times after I have rolled I think because of the extreme mouth irritation from me chewing so much :P . But in my opinion I would put up with having a cold sore to roll every now and then, I dont think it should stop anyone from rolling.
But thats just my two cents

I've had canker sores show up afterwords, but between the chance I bit the inside of my mouth, had a lowered immune system or it was just a coincidental sore I wouldn't want to blame the experience itself. If you've never had canker sores you shouldn't worry, because they are not contagious.
Cold sores are a bit different though. I've never had a cold sore show up after rolling. Maybe read up on what can cause a cold sore and avoid those things if you're really worried about getting one.
I say go for it.

I get cold sores, and they have never correlated with my rolls. I usually chew gum and don't do a lot of damage to my mouth, so that must have something to do with it.

I have gotten a cold sore after a roll, but it is rare. After some really intense benders I have gotten the flu, and I don;t just mean being run down I mean full blown flu. My wife will occasionally get sinus infections after rolling but she also smokes cigarettes when she rolls. This is the only time she smokes.

Whats a cold sore?

it's a herpes lip sore.

If your immune system is already low and your stressed and your likely to get cold sores often id say yes, after my last roll i felt a lil spot where i though one would creep up but it subsided, also I don't smoke cigarettes but last time I was chain smoking my whole roll and had a horrible cold afterwards.

Id say go for it but just dont lower your immune system or stress out, and know what some of your triggers are

If you suffer badly from cold sores at the best of times then if your rolling try using a small amount of vaseline / lip balm to keep your lips moist (protected from the dry ice/smoke/licking/chewing/other people). Taking multivitamins can really help!

Years ago, when I used to hammer the pills, pushing through entire weekends without any sleep and then going back into work Monday, having not slept since Thursday night, and I can tell you I was experiencing ulcers.

I went of a bit of a methylone binge and again, vomiting and coldsores.

After looking into it a little they're not caused by the toxicity of the chemicals but a mixture of sleep deprivation, vitamin diffeciency and malnutrition

that is correct, sleep dep, malnutrition and lack of vitamins is weakening your immune system. In the case of the ulcers I would attribute it to high stomach acid content and no food soaking it up coupled with the strain/stress on your body due to abusing stimulants for long periods of time.

That's what a cold sore is, herpes to your lip lol.

Pro tip: If someone has a cold sore on their lip, you do NOT want them to perform oral sex on you while they have it.

Ew dude if you gotten herpes you should really just quit rollin and go see a doctor

LOL, Herpes is not caused by taking MDMA, It comes from oral or sexual contact with someone who is already infected and is in an outbreak of oral or genital herpes. Once you already have herpes (simplex A, B, C, or D) break outs occur randomly but more often when your immune system is lowered. It is proven fact that MDMA lowers your immune system through the activities and poor habits people exhibit while on it )not sleeping, eating poorly, not washing hands often, etc).

Oral herpes is also referred to as "Herpes labialis", this is not the same as genital herpes. It is transmitted by kissing someone who has a current out break or sharing a toothbrush, cigarette, glass, soda can or bottle. You can not get it simply by taking MDMA. However if while on MDMA you have a habit of kissing random people; chances are good you will wind up with Oral herpes.

Genital Herpes which are usually referred to as "Herpes" are sores that appear on teh penis, vagina, or rectum and are transmitted by sexual contact with someone who has genital herpes.

It is possible to transmit Oral herpes to some one else in the form of genital herpes by giving oral sex to a person while you are having an outbreak of oral herpes. It is also possible to get Oral herpes by giving oral sex to someone who has an outbreak of genital herpes.

That's what a cold sore is, herpes to your lip lol.

Pro tip: If someone has a cold sore on their lip, you do NOT want them to perform oral sex on you while they have it.

That is absolutely correct, If you have ever gotten a cold sore or fever blister on or in your mouth; you have Oral herpes whether you want to accept it or not. As long as you are responsible you will never give another person oral or genital herpes. Any time you begin an intimate relationship you need to tell them that you have had cold sores in the past, not doing so is tantamount to intentionally giving them herpes and is a DICK MOVE!

This means that just because someone has Oral herpes (with no incidence of genital herpes) that you will get genital herpes by having sexual intercourse with them. So long as it does not include oral sex you can not catch genital herpes from someone who has Oral herpes. Infection requires contact of the affected area with the genitals or the mouth. That is to say that kissing someone with oral herpes will not cause you to contract Genital herpes.

Wait, I thought oral sex is fine as long as there isn't an active infection at that time?

It is still possible to get an infection even when they are not currently having an out break, but the chances are far slimmer than during an outbreak. Once someone has herpes it is a possibility of infection when kissing, giving oral or having sexual penetration whether they have an outbreak currently or not. The chances of getting infected are a lot higher during an infection.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO SPREAD HERPES BETWEEN OUTBREAKS.:\

Okay, now that leads to another question. Doesn't everybody get a cold sore? It's been a while since my health class, but my teacher either said "everybody has herpes since everybody has had a cold sore," or "if you've ever had a cold sore, you have herpes." I can't remember which of the two it was lol. I'll be Googling the answer while I wait :D.

[EDIT]

After looking at some pictures, I don't think I've ever had one. But still, I wonder about my last question...

[EDIT 2]

Never mind, not everybody gets cold sores.

No, not everyone has herpes. But if you have ever had a lip sore you have a form of herpes. It is not as serious as genital herpes but you can get genital herpes by receiving oral from someone who has oral herpes. Understand that Oral herpes is EXTEMELY common, that is not to say 100% of teh population has it. And even if you do have it; it is possible to not have outbreaks that often.

For example, I have an extremely strong immune system. When I was a child I got a case of oral herpes from kissing my mother (in a non-sexual way that a child is kissed by his mother) when she had a sore. But back in the 70s-and early 80s people were a lot more ignorant to the facts surrounding herpes. Despite having Oral herpes most of my life I have only had 4-5 outbreaks in 25 years.

How common is oral herpes?
About 50 percent to 80 percent of the adult population in the United States has oral herpes, with as many as 90% having the virus by age 50. Most people contract oral herpes when they are children by receiving a kiss from a friend or relative. Source

But if that were the case, then wouldn't unprotected oral sex be pretty bad, considering you said you're at risk even if you're not in the middle of an outbreak?
