Rolling and driving?

Ok. So i'm going to a rave this weekend and I plan on rolling pretty hard. I've only experimented with ecstasy 3 times maxing at 2 E pills (blue supermans).

I'm just curious about rolling and driving, or rolling and then driving after the comedown. I'm an inexperienced driver, but a damn good one when i'm high(marijuana) and sober as well. I only say i'm inexperienced because I haven't been driving long, but it comes naturally.

I'm just curious about anyones experiences with driving home from raves, if it gets shut down etc. Should I let a more experienced mate drive?

Thx. I plan on doing 2 or 3 pills that night, or maybe .2+ of legit molly if the guy comes through
 
It doesn't matter how long you've been driving when being under the influence. I'd say let a buddy that's sober drive. Now all the moral stuff aside if you did crash or hit somebody you'll be screwed twice since you were high.
 
The only option I see here:

Designated driver. If a DD isn't possible, don't go and roll at home with a few friends. It's not worth the risk.

You guys are very right, I suppose it was immature of me to even consider driving under an unfamiliar(semi) drug.

I'm sorry, young and learning. At least I didn't lose my life. You guys quickly set a spark off, though!
 
I have driven rolling with other people in the car. Never had any complaints at all...

Actually the only thing that was messing up my driving the last time was the girl in the back seat giving me directions, and given that she was rolling hard that complicated things.

I once got pulled over for a headlight being out while rolling.... Got through the sobreity test just fine and was allowed to be on my merry way....

It is also a lot of being familiar with an area.... I know my way home without directions from pretty much every venue in my city by this point.

Given that this is a harm reduction site i can't advocate you rolling and driving, its always best to have a sober friend. But that being said, if you have to drive home don't do it when your rolling balls and your eyes are shaking back and forth.
 
I agree with the other answers. Even if nothing happens (which 99% of the time nothing does) it only takes once for you to get into a fender bender or pulled over and have a cop see your saucer sized pupils.

If you're stoned there are no real indications that you're high (if you keep your shit together) even if you're acting completely sober and feel completely sober on phychedelics and stims your eyes are a HUGE red flag.

I got pulled over rolling on some of the strongest beans i have ever found....

Im sure my pupils were large, but given that i had a wrist band on and apparently "smelled slightly of alcohol" i was asked to step out of the car for a breif sobriety test....

Its kind of funny, you would think that getting pulled over rolling would be like "oh fuck im going to jail for a DUI like right now" but as long as your jaw isn't going crazy and its only your pupils that are large... If you seem to be in a pleasant and respectful mood to the officer and go along with what he ask you to do.

"Where you comming from"
"Just riding home from a birthday party in the city"
"I see you have a wristband on, so there was probably alcohol there, mind if i give you a sobreity test?"
"No problem at all officer"
"Now i want you to follow this little blue light around with your eyes and not move your head"
*follow little blue light around with eyes being very careful not to let them shake*
"Well, everything seems to be in order, get that headlight fixed before you decide to drive at night or in the rain again. Have a good night"
"You too officer"

It kind of helps you in that not a lot of people get pulled over rolling, so its by far not the first thing they look for.... If they think you were drinking, they are going to look for signs that you have been drinking.

Its also kind of difficult to arrest someone for large pupils.... at night....

So if your sober enough to pass common sobreity test for alcohol, your going to be fine. Don't have anything on you on the way home.

I'm glad to hear that you've come to this conclusion. How you think you drive and how you actually drive are two very different things.

Its not just your life on the line, its the life of anyone else who happens to be on the road when you are.

My suggestion is to either have a sober driver or rent a hotel room near the event(within walking distance). Those are just much safer alternatives than getting behind the wheel.

first of all if your inexpierienced then you are not a good driver. Have you taken multiple profesional driving lessons? I personally own two very exotic cars and I would never drive them or any other car under the influence. When I was younger i would risk it and i am very lucky to have never gotten a DUI, killed or killed somone.
put it this way if you take 100 cab rides home at 40 bucks a pop over your life time that is only $4000 dollars. A dui or killing someone is much more expensive than that. Youll ruin your career ect.

It can ruin your roll big time... I consider myself very lucky, considering some of my past behavior

One time i ran a stop sign at a routine traffic stop while i was rolling. I was questioned and let off (no ticket), which amazed me.. I think someone was watching out for me.. but the whole ordeal killed my buzz, to say the least

I find it's also really easy to get paranoid while driving on MDMA, since everything is so surreal and you're emotionally-vunerable... i'm talking about a low dose of MDMA. Driving while floored on average - high doses is basically suicidal.. on that level, you may think you're driving fine, but you're probably not

This is coming from someone who's been pulled over twice and gotten one ticket in 10yrs of driving on all kinds of drugs... a lot of which i don't have any memory of

I am more cautious now since i ran my car into a brick wall about 1 1/2yrs ago while on klonopin and alcohol. It didn't scare me, but it sucked not having a car for a month and trying to work. Of course a lot worse things could've happened...

Get someone who isn't fucked up to drive or figure out another way to do it, like waiting it out till you're sober sometime the next day. It's not worth trying to handle that kind of responsibility when you're partying

This is also a very good idea. =)

You also have to remember that while rolling and driving, you may not be quick to react in situations that could potentially be dangerous.

Im sorry but that is incorrect - the police use the size of a persons pupil to tell if they are under the influence of certain drugs / alcohol.

Shiney/Glassy - Alcohol-Grass
Small pupils - Coke etc
Large Pupils - Stims etc

Get pulled over at night and your pupils dont contract when they shine a torch at you and its cause enough for them to request further tests (blood / urine). Add to that if your driving at a key time (clubs closing, local event just finishing) and with a car full of clubbers the Police will be even more aware that people may be DUI.
 
Don't drive while your under the influence of E's...last time me and a mate dropped a couple of pills, on the come down we decided to score some weed.

Jumped into my mates BMW convertible and drove extra careful, you wouldn't believe it my mate lost control of the car at 30mph and smacked the kerb cracking his alloy wheel and the steering rack. Luckily for the both of us it was late night/early hours of the morning and not a soul was around.

We are both experienced pill/weed heads and my mate is 30yrs old and is an experienced driver but you are not 100% in control of your self when under the influence! DO NOT drive under the influence full stop!

Driving while rolling AKA Driving the space ship. add some drink in your system and your flying the space ship underwater.

It's not the worst thing that you can do and comparably you drive worst when you smoke a lot of weed in my experiences(in the pasenger seat). but the real danger lies in the fact that you feel so good that you forget to pay atention to the road or you want to be a part of this wonderfull discussion going on right behind you but you have to pay atention and drive.

People do it all the time but that doesnt mean shit, i mean people drive drunk daily but that doesnt mean it's safe. i'd say with 2 good pills wait at least 8 hours, have at least one good sized meal if not more, drink plenty of water and dont do it if you have been up for 18 hours or more.

best thing here would be to GET A SOBER DRIVER.
but if one does end up embarking on a dangerous task as such, make sure to call some people and tell them where you are leaving from, what rout you will be taking home and when you plan on ariving. that way if you dont get back they know where to send the rescue crew.
 
If the MDMA is good, driving becomes impossible for me. Once my ex-GF and myself took some wonderful stuff and tried to make it to the rave. We didn't make it. We decided to get a hotel room, but everything was SO BEAUTIFUL we thought the motel 8 was WAY out of our price range.

Ahhhh. the good old days.

spent a while in a parking lot chewing my tongue off and watching everything shake and rumble in a oh so beautiful way. Then she got the room and we didn't go to jail or die.
 
I'd like to add....Don't think you will be able to drive home once your roll wears off. You will be exhausted, your reaction time will still be slow, and you will still appear intoxicated if you end up getting pulled over. I made the unwise decision of driving during my comedown and it was the worst, most uncomfortable experience.

On the other hand, being a passenger on the freeway while you're rolling bawls is lots of fun. :)

better yet, take lots of both LSD and MDMA and when the construction cones come up just be ready to laugh a LOT. It is like being in a psychedelic circus. Only you are moving 65 MPH
