Rolling Again One Week Later

Hey forum.

A friend of mine rolled on Xmas eve on a whim, but was already planning on rolling at a massive for NYE this upcoming Saturday. This person is usually very responsible about use. She is wondering if it is ok to roll again one week later, for New Year's Eve. Assuming that she does not make a habit out of it, and generally takes very long breaks between rolling, is it generally safe for her to roll a week later?

Also, is there anything she can do in terms of diet/exercise/sleep to maximum the short week-long recovery in between the rolls? Also, her mind is not totally made up. She's thinking about maybe just eating a bit of mushies instead, also worried that the roll won't have any effects a week later.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Rolling so close together isn't recommended but it won't kill you either. Just take some 5-HTP during the week and get a lot of rest. You could roll again but then don't do so for at least another month... Longer is even better. Trust me I know a kid who rolls every week or even less and his brain is so fried. I mean he also trips a lot but damn.... It makes me smh at how messed up he made himself in less than a year.

I wouldn't roll so closely though, a minimum of two weeks is what I would do but in the end its your body and your choice. It won't kill you but it won't be the best of ideas... Then again you don't do this a lot so I wouldn't worry too much about it, just if you go through with it take a long break after....

It'll be fine don't worry, as long as you don't make a habit of it, she might not enjoy herself as much as the week prior though.

make this a 1 off and you should be okay.

When your on your comedown though (I predict Tuesday) a banana does wonders for a comedown, eat a few of those or best yet have a Banana - Oats - Milk smoothie, That will fix you right up!

I was rolling almost every weekend for about 4 months, sometimes 2-3 days in a row, and have had no negative affects at all. The more often I rolled, the harder it hit me.

I read about all the harm reduction, took amazing care of my body and never had any problems at all. It was to the point that I would sometimes go through 10-15 pills a weekend, most of the time I'd roll lightly but sometimes I'd go out and get fried on them.

Don't take my word for it though, everyone on here will tell you how bad they know people who are fucked by it...

Get it from a legit source:

There is no evidence that ecstasy causes brain damage, according to one of the largest studies into the effects of the drug. Too many previous studies made over-arching conclusions from insufficient data, say the scientists responsible for the research, and the drug's dangers have been greatly exaggerated.

"I always assumed that, when properly designed studies were carried out, we would find ecstasy does not cause brain damage," said Professor David Nutt

I've taken E every weekend for a few weeks, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week and noticed absolutely no side effects other than the drug rapidly becomes less fun. Certainly no e-tard effects - I think if you're an e-tard you were probably a retard before you even started taking E.

As for anything like exercise or diet - none of it will make any difference whatsoever or give you the slightest "protective" effect, but if it makes you feel better then hey, why not do it?

A couple times a week for a few weeks or few months may not leave you with that harsh side effects. I know because I've gone through periods like that. But just cause you're able to get away with it for a few months doesn't mean it's harmless.

It took years for it to finally catch up to me. I wasn't rolling as frequently as few times a week all throughout those years, but there were periods in there were I'd roll couple times a week or weekly. Even with breaks it eventually caught up with me.

I stupidly took pills every weekend for about 6 months and although i noticed some short term side effects, i was ok. I did build up a tolerance but i still never needed over 3 pills in one night (the pills i was taking were between 100 - 150mg mdma). so what im trying to say is basically dont make a habbit of it but you will be fine if you do it once or twice! I wish i had the will power to have month breaks :/

Dont make a habit out of it and she will be fine.. I personally FEEL (no evidence here) that the right foods help when i do this. Banana's pure chocolate, oats, quark, whey protein and Fish (omega 3) and lots more. Exercise i know for sure will help. Out of my little circle of rollers everyone who exercises doesnt feel like shit. The others who dont always feel crappy after even tho they take 5-htp (which i don't) I do take vitamins,ALA, Piracetam, Rhodiola and curcumin and gingko for about 4 days after use.

Just dont redose past the 2 hour mark and keep it under 200mg. This can also make a big difference.

Have fun and be safe

MDMA abusers are very quick to defend that the drug does not cause brain damage. The reason for this is quite obvious.

A word of caution,

Whether or not the drug causes "physical damage" may not be the question you should be asking.

In reality, abuse of MDMA may cause significant changes in the brain that will never revert to the state they were in before the user started. The user simply doesn't know any better because they are unable to detect any noticeable difference. This could be do to mild or significant cognitive damage.

We already know that MDMA abuse causes Axons to regrow in irregular patterns due to loss of serotonin. There is also a wider range of space in between axons causing a loss of communication and electrical stimulation between the synapse. Less activity = less stimulation. This may be why some users experience a "loss of magic". This is definitely not the brain at its original full potential.

So I advise you proceed with caution when using MDMA in high frequency. The mind is a terrible thing to waste and you only get one in your short lifetime.

Cheers

I don't understand how people don't thing that exercise and diet won't help you...if a healthy lifestyle is going to help an individual who doesn't use or abuse drugs, then wouldn't it be twice as important for somebody who is harming their body?

Also, you may not realize it, but after rolling 4 or 5 times over summer I had a really rough semester in college, none of it seemed to stem from rolling or at least I didn't think, after a two month break my mom told me the "light" was back in my eyes and I seemed to be so much more happier and she was relieved that the semester was over, little did she know that I had dabbled in the drug world prior to all the terrible things that happened this year. All I am ttrying to say is when you are in it you won't see any of the negatives and just keep making excuses for yourself, but if and when you ever do grow out of the drug phase you will look back and realize how many of thoughts and actions revolved around your "next roll" or "safety measures" or "best way to dose the next time you plan on going to a rave..." the list goes on and on.

Be careful, be safe and hope your friend doesn't experience any side effects.

Not that I disagree with what you're saying, but anything that requires a good deal caution and planning (rolling for example) will cause your life to revolve around that thing, to some extent. This is true with all drugs, and for many other things. Having a girlfriend, a much enjoyed hobby, etc., and so of course this will be true for rolling.

I do agree with the rest of what you're saying though, and I do think that people who use E (or any damaging/addictive drug) deny the negatives until they can look back in retrospect.

As a one off practice, it's fine. As a two or three off practice, it's not ideal but fine.
It's bad when it sneaks up on you and you dont even realize how often you've been doing it.
I didn't realize how much I was doing it at one point, played it "safe" for a long while before suddenly I had gone overboard and felt exhausted from doing it so much. It will sneak up on you if you don't watch out but just don't do it 3 weekends in a row, then your times off seem really drab. Thats a shitty feeling, much worse than a 2 day hangover IMO. Everyone is different, but one things for sure, etardedness is a real thing. I've seen it and experienced it far too often and I'm not even in the rave scene.

Im on a break from rolling myself. Just finished up 4 weeks in a row.. To be honest i experienced no ill side effects. I kept exercising 3x a week and eating healthy and feel great..
Had 4 EPIC partys i had to roll at. Only dosed one 150mg capsule each time.. I usually keep atleast 6 weeks in between so im not saying this was a good idea in any way.
Just thought id share that everyone breaks the rule once in a while..

So just try to get a good night sleep every night and eat right with some exercise and you should be fine. Dont drink or do other shit while rolling tho.
