Hey what's up all,

I was introduced to the beautiful substance known as MDMA about 4 months ago...dosed with my girlfriend about 100 mg of some molly and had an awesome time.

Didn't try it again until about a month later, and dosed at 150mg this time. These were awesome experiences and I loved them!

Recently the weather became warm again and my friend molly was back around town, so we dosed some more recently! It started about 3 weekends ago we dosed 150 mg, then the next weekend we tried again with 175mg and then just last saturday we dosed again with 175mg.

I've been reading a lot about mdma and I know you really aren't supposed to roll every weekend...It's definately NOT an activity I am going to keep pursuing...I just want to make sure I haven't done too much damage to my body/brain from this binge.

No real loss of magic yet, each experience has been absolutely amazing. I don't plan on dosing again until around 2 months from now on July 9th for a 311 show (anyone going? lol)

Just looking for insight....Are these kind of binges super bad for you? Or is it decent since we at least spaced them out a week in between?

We are def. done binging....Next roll wont be for 2 months.

Thoughts? Concerns?

Thanks and sorry if this is a noob type post, but I have been researching like hell for the past week, just kinda looking for some thoughts.

Peace all!

Sounds like you're giving yourself a break early enough that you should be fine. Just make sure you follow through on actually taking the break, because it's a slippery slope.

Keep it at once a month or once every 6 weeks after your 2 month break. You'll be able to maintain the magic for years.

Thanks for the reply Pans-Advocate,

I truly hope you are right! I'm mainly worried about:

A) Not fucking up my body/brain
B) Not losing the magic

I feel fine 2 days after my first roll, like I never even took it...which is more to say than my first roll which had me feeling odd still the 2nd day after. I hope its not my body just getting too used to it.

I'm just hoping I haven't done too much in a short time span...I try to keep my doses somewhat low and we def. won't be on that slippery slope...It's the end of the schoolyear here at college and all my friends are leaving so no more mini raves in my apartment....and I don't really want to solo roll.

That is hopeful advice though, Pans-Advocate. I hope you are right! Thanks again.

Any other thoughts?

This board sees a lot of threads posted by people who abuse pills and molly WAY more than you have, and they often seem less concerned for their own well-being than you do, so it's hard for me to feel OK being all super serious about telling you that you're making really bad decisions about your drug use. Yes, you've been abusing the stuff, but no, you haven't been doing terrible irreversible damage. Stop the pattern now, and don't let it start again, and you'll be OK. I've been rolling once every 4-6 weeks for a little over 2 years now and I don't get hangovers or Tuesday blues, and I haven't noticed any lasting cognitive/attention/memory deficits or headaches or anything (I sometimes get a little scatterbrained during the comedowns and fluffy-headed the next day but it never sticks around). Also, rolling is basically awesome every time for me. I'm lengthening my breaks out to 6-8 weeks by the end of this summer, and I figure if I taper my use down gradually, I'll keep my enjoyment and physical/mental health right where I want it to be. It's certainly been working for me so far.

Even if you do notice a little slowness or emotional flatness over the next month or so, don't worry. By the end of the summer you'll be back to normal.

If you really want to make sure you stay totally fine, though, take some extra steps to make sure your brain and your body is in good working order! Start doing some regular yoga classes, improve your diet, get your sleep schedule on track. You've always got room for improvement.

I feel you bro. I am always very onpoint with the 30 day rule but had to binge it this weekend. Rolled 2 on Thursday night , 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. I am done with my honeymoon phase as prior to this , always waited 30 days.

are you using suppliments ? I am currently using 100mg 5-HTP . 1 pill in the morning and 1 before bed. Alot of bluelighters claim 5-htp helps with the recovery of serotonin. Good luck !

Don't worry man, a lot of the risks talked about this site are over rated (IMO). I know plenty of people who roll most weekends once or twice and aren't fucked up. In general it seems to take 6 months+ of rolling every weekend to lose the magic and see serious negative side effects. but its good to constantly take breaks, no need to play russian roulette, and some people have bad sides way earlier. if you dont feel sides your probably fine

My advice is keep it special and ACTUALLY take that break- it's easy to talk yourself into doing it sooner. It's not an opinion, but an actual fact, that 30 days provides you a full seratonin recovery (not just the nuerotransmitter but the cells that support it). Ppl certainly get away with going for it weekend after weekend, but that won't last forever.

If thats a fact would you mind showing me the source?

PS. I pretty much agree with everything you said though...

There's a few studies out there that found this to be the case- I'm on a broken iPhone until I get home from work (lol) but I'll find some sources. If anything I'd argue it takes longer than a month, not less.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I am going to stick strong to my break, since I only have about 3 doses left, and I would hate to not have 2 for the show!!! Saving them for sure!!

So I will be trying to my hardest to abstain until then. It shouldn't be too hard...My brain is ready for a break I believe...it may be telling me that, haha!

Maybe a nice 2 month solid break will give me an awesome experience next time. Especially since its going to be at an outside concert venue. Woot!

Thanks again for all posts, any and more advice is lovely!!

Would love to hear any insight from anyone!

I do want to retract "fact" as that a strong statement- rather, it's the most common result of studies I've found on the web.

It wouldn't surprise me if it took longer for the brain to recover fully, however I think the brain recovers *enough* within under a week. By enough I mean that although the brain may not be back to ideal levels, the state its in causes none or almost no noticeable side effects or behavioral disturbances. Taking MDMA too often will result in a "build up" and the negatives sides will be felt.

Basically recovery is subjective. And as far as I'm concerned, its different for everyone, and nobody knows exactly how long it takes. Some people see sides right away while some people never will no matter how much they do it.

Agreed! It seems like it usually takes a "build up" of weekend after weekend of abuse to notice diminishing effects and negative after-effects.

Like many people, I used MDMA 3-4 times a month for months on end, until it was apparent I was fried.

I have a friend who is brand new to rolling and theres an opportunity in September to roll 2 weekends in a row, and she's flipping out because of all the warnings I gave her about not doing it to often- now I find myself convincing her that rolling 2 weekends in a row once may not be ideal, but it's certainly not going to likely destroy anything...

I once rolled 3 times in 6 weeks (once every 3 weeks, 3 times in a row), increasing the dosage from 1 to 2 to 2.5 pills, and by the third roll I noticed myself looking and behaving a little more cracked-out on the comedown than I was comfortable with. Maybe I'm just sensitive to that sort of change in myself, or maybe it was just the high dose (I'm pretty certain the pills were cut with nothing more than a small amount of caffeine if anything), but I've noticed negative effects building up a lot earlier than most people seem to. They were very slight, don't get me wrong, and I was never impaired in any way, really ... I just recognized that my body was telling me that I'd had a bit more than enough. I feel like most people would brush that off as "just" a bad (or even normal) comedown, but it was enough for me to give myself an 8 week break.

The more attention you pay to your reactions to a drug, and the more seriously you take those observations, the better off you'll be.

Not to make your penis look small or anything, but I cant really help that if it is, but Ive basically ben on a good roll since Nocturnal in Sept when I munched my furst pokeball...Ive probably eaten about 147 since then I I still roll tuffer then most everyone I know.

Im thinkin yer gunna be jus fine. Ive been where you were at once, I use to moderate myself to only once a week but then things got slippery and da good beans showed up and so bam here i am.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that actually, the guy who eats MDMA multiple times a week is the guy whose penis is going to end up looking small.

Just a hunch.

This is guaranteed to fuck you up. If you keep doing this your brain will never recover. You'll be emotionally weird and intellectually slow. Problems with anxiety, anger, depression, memory loss, confusion, you name it. I have seen this happen to many people, and there have been many experiences shared on this board about it. You can't use ecstasy like this. Seriously. I'm all for getting high but that kind of use will fuck you up long term and prevent you from properly enjoying life.
