Interesting compound - looks very similar to the PEA part of carphedon.

Is a PDE4 inhibitor - potential anti-depressant, wakefullness and memory enhancing.

Looking at the structure it looks so tempting to know what would happen if those two oxygens were turned in to a methylenedioxy. (probably nothing, still....)

I was going to bring this up for duscussion in my 'Cleanest Stims' thread as it is notable for its effect on wakefulness, mood-brightening, anti-inflammatory/anti-TNFa neuroprotection, amd cognition...which basically covers the range of attributes that are desirable in a functionality enhancing "stimulant" agent

i added this to my list of agents worth considering

Is it a new drug? (I.e one that's expensive) or will people have tried this already.

[EDIT] answered my own question - it seems to be a new one.

Note you heard it here first
(although if i am wrong just pretend i never said it, LOL)

Look at the effect profile (and specifically the OFF-USES) for Tianeptine SSRE...I believe it very well may have a strong PDE4-I component that I do not think has been noted to date
