Hi all,

Does anyone have any expericence with a DHT blocking tablet, similar to 'Propecia' called 'Dutasteride' by a pharmacutical company call Avodart? Basically, the difference between the two tablets is that that 'Propecia' combats type 1 of the DHT effect and is licenced for that reason as a hair loss preventitive... whereas 'Dutasteride' is NOT licenced for this purpose at all, it's basically licenced to fight and prevent benign prostatic hyperplasia - which I believe is a form of prostate cancer? A side efect of this medication is that it reduces the amount of testosterone that converts to DHT, repairing/reducing - over time - MPB. A further reason for it's effectiveness is that it combats both type 1 AND type 2 of the DHT conversion.

No, boring bits aside, has anyone had any experience with DHT blockers and MILD roids. I'm currently planning, once sourced, my first 6 week cycle of roids. As I'm far too shallow and vain I don't want to sacrifice what hair I have left as the DHT blockers are actually working quite nicely. I've been researching the use/effects of Oral T-Bol and Anavar... I'm aware that these are probably the lowest androgenic roids available.

30yrs, 5'10", 80kg, not looking for huge OBVIOUS gains, looking to do mostly Hypertrophy Training with some CV and swimming. I'm well qualified and versed in gym work... but an absolute rank ameteur with roids... all serious responses welcomed.=D

dutasteride is pretty neat stuff haven't used it but Ive read that its more effective at preventing and reversing benign prostate hypertrophy than finasteride (propecia) I've also read reports of it being used to combat androgen induced acne, its pretty toxic though so I'd leave it alone.

your best bet is to run a 10-12 week cycle of test at 500mg a week keep rogaine on hand if you start to notice some shedding I'm starting to loose some hair but I've been cruisin on test at a gram a week for 4 or 5 months now with no plans to come off anytime soon but I'm willing to sacrifice my hair in my quest for muscle

Thanks for the advice mate, I've already been on the Dutasteride for 18 months now and it's really doing it's job - well, worked for me anyway. I've also tried Regaine and got nothing so I shelled out for the 12.5% Minoxidil (the active ingredient in Regaine) from the Belgravia Centre but again, seems more of a farce than effective. Thanks for your suggestions on Test' though, is it any good really? Results and side effects?

Test is the king of steroids but it is highly androgenic and if your already balding without juice you might wanna stay away although if your running dutasteride along side that should limit the balding

DHT conversion is unfortunately a natural process when taking AAS/AS. I've thought about taking a finasteride/propecia just to see if it would help regrow my hair a bit. Unfortunately this process usually takes around 1/2 year for results to be seen and it is said to inhibit gains. I'd rather keep winning trophies! :)

I would never take finasteride. The side effects are absolutely hideous/god awful. I would be too afraid to take too much on accident and have to suffer through side effects for the rest of my life.

I'm with you captain. I've avoided them despite the temptation to halt my hair loss. Just not worth it.

I have experience on finasteride.

Minoxidil will not do much on saving your hair if you are prone to hair loss and taking steroids. Minoxidil regrows some hair - it's not blocking DHT at all.
The thing that can save you is the 5 alpha reductase inhibitors or the topical RU58841 (experimental and superior chemical that you mix yourself with alcohol or minoxidil). You can also use Spironolactone as a TOPICAL treatment. That will block some of the DHT.

Fin and Duta are 5 alpha reductase inhibitors and will inhibit some of the T turning into DHT. It is working by inhibiting approx 60-70 % (finasteride 1 mg ED). Remember that you will increase the amount DHT in your body a lot when doing 500 mg Test Cyp/Enanthe E5/6D.

I would say 250 mg Testo E5D with finasteride 1,25 or 2,5 mg is a much better first cycle if you are curious about your hair.

But...
Testo is a high-androgen steroid. If you are prone to hairloss - check out Oral Turinabol! It is a low androgen steroid invented and used by the cool east-germans. ;)
You can also read on deca/nandrolone that has an outstanding anabolic/androgen-ratio (beware of nasty side effects with this "mild" steroid - it will shut down your own production harder than on T and can also kill your sex drive for months).

AAS is hard when trying to avoid the androgenic side effects.

Thanks for your post bingo! Very informative.

I have settled for a topical hair treatment on my scalp myself.
Just started a new cycle so we'll see how it works :)
