The guy is just a bloke that happens to be a musician . there ain't owt fake about him .

Can't believe some of the knobbers like Docherty got a mention b4 Shaun .:|

I didn't say he was a good mod. Hell check out the shrine, being a mod hardly means you know how to handle your drugs with aplomb.....

*bows*

I can think of a BL'er who would totally do that :D

I was going to say both John Bonham & Keith Moon were famous for having bowls full of cocaine between their legs during their shows and just grabbing handfuls of it and smearing it all across their noses and mouths (charming image) but then again they died, sooo...
all my other choices have already been mentioned. Ozzy, Steven Tyler and Keith Richards take the top spots for me though.

keef did do that but BHM asked "which author" ?

TBH

He wouldn't give a shit about it , i met him & he's so normal it's surprising. He has attitude but that is him i think that he would be the same guy no matter what .
At the time i was a bit underwhelmed but i get it now .
He was just a junkie looking to hook up with other junkies like all the rest i've met .

If i didn't know who he was i wouldn't have had any idea he was famous .

It was your duty to chip in with Shaun Brimz. I left him to you.

Jim and William Reid, aka Jesus & Mary Chain. Cant imagine them not doing smack. Cant imagine them doing a song about anything other than smack. That's some career.

Gimme stuff. I want stuff.

Why would it be true? Why would Hendrix need suitcases of acid? Was it weak shit?

Just sounds like the usual drug hype from the 60's. Like Syd Barrett went mental because he took...suitcases of acid, whatever. No he didn't. He had a pre-existing condition. And he never took any more acid than most people. He just took acid.

I know Brimz has met Doherty. Didn't you mug him or something? ;)

HEY GIES I FORGOT peter green of fleetwood mac. he had some sort of breakdown/quasistroke on lsd and has never been the same since. whatever happened that night, it might as well have killed him. left a singer/songwriter/lead guitarist easily on par with the hendrixes and claptons of the world.. into a slow talking and timid mess, a mere shell of his former glory. all this coincided with the mac going shit, could possibly be related

He still wrote 'man of the world' post melt down. A very good and sad track indeed.

The Mac changed from a strictly blues band as in black magic woman, to a more diverse AOR band in Rumours. The Chain probably still has the best bass line of all time and the wild screaming guitar solo fits on top brilliantly. There are plenty of other great tracks Like Sarah, Gypsy and Rhiannon etc etc...

Dont care if they are radio 2 tracks, a quality track is that, regardless of whether its the hippest of alternative bands or something your Gran might like. My Gran likes The Velvet Underground so shes not the best example....

The Mac had a more dynamic sound when Stevie Nicks was involved.
