robo menthol dxm syrup

i just bought benylin cough syrup (for dry coughs) here in the uk. the 125ml bottle has a total of 187.5mg dxm. it also contains l-mentol, so i'm a little concerned about the effects of a recreational dose. has anyone taken this cough syrup? any trouble from the l-menthol?
on a different note i'd like to get some pure dxm but wont it look suss if i contact a company and request only 5/10g or something of dxm?

What kind of syrup? I think the only things you really have to worry about are aceteminophen and pseudoephedrine.
And i don't think chemical suppliers will sell anything less than like 10 grams. But it's really cheap, so it's no problem.

There is a lot of crap in cough syrup that you shouldn't take in such large quantities as a bottle or two. The 'helathiness' of certain substances in the syrup are fairly low, because they don't expect you to take very much of them. There is all sorts of ''INACTIVE'' crap in cough syrup that just plain isn't good for you at a recreational dose.
My advice is a truth which should have been self-evident--
Don't drink an entire bottle of cough syrup.
Go buy the powder. If you don't distribute it, you aren't doing anything particularly illegal (yes, there are *extents* to illegality), and its *******highly******* unlikely anything will come of it.

With that much DXM, you'll need to drink about 3 bottles in order for it to have a good effect. I highly suggest seeking the powder form.
