Robin Williams - at the going down of the sun..

Sorry I was being needlessly pedantic earlier but people expressing excessive grief over the death of a celebrity - especially online - is one of my pet peeves.

Ah now theres the problem! To me an acquaintance would be someone that you know, but you are completely indifferent about; whilst a friend (not to be confused with close friend or best friend 8() is someone that if you saw in the street you would have a quick 2 minute with.

Wait, i realise how ridiculous this is now; defining these objective terms haha - best leave it there i think :D

What difference does it make if they are a celebrity or not? If your mourning the death of a celebrity, simply because a celebrity died, then ye; getae fuck! But otherwise i dont see the problem :?
 
No I mean when people pretend to be affected on a personal level. I'm a heartless cunt please ignore.

Lest we descend into hagiography: Robin Williams spent a lot of time entertaining troops in the american war machine. He might have honestly wanted to help the average soldier rather than the war machine itself, but we wouldn't allow that distinction for the wermacht (eg look at the photo below of him with a predator drone and then imagine a photo of arthur askey hugging a V2). Doesn't stop him being funny (occasionally imv), but death shouldn't mean we forget the shit stuff.
