Men steal prescription drugs, cigarettes from store

Armed robbers stole prescription drugs and cigarettes from a CVS Pharmacy drug store on East Chandler Boulevard in Ahwatukee Foothills about 4 a.m. Friday.

The men took 60 bottles of Oxycotin, 25 bottles of Percocet, one bottle of Valium and 12 bottles of promethazine, the police report said.

The men also stole cigarettes from behind the front counter and then fled the store, the police report said.

Phoenix police said the men, all believed to be in their 20s, entered the store in the 4600 block of East Chandler Boulevard and two were carrying handguns.

The suspects forced three employees to the back of the store and told them to lie on the floor, according to a police report.

The pharmacist was ordered to open a safe containing prescription medications and to put them in a blue nylon bag, according to police.

The three suspects are "implicated in other, similar robberies," Phoenix Police Lt. Mark Tallman said.

"If you find yourself in that situation, cooperate," Tallman advised. "The best thing you can do in a situation like that is to remain calm. Don't risk our life to save property."

what really? thats surprising? thats weird in the US, cigs are sold at pretty much every pharmacy ive been to, often at the same counter. maybe its that way here so its easier to fund the corporate beast that runs this country.
 
^ usually 30 if its a personal prescription. Most pharmacy bottles (bottles the pills are stocked in) contain 100.

oh no, i am completely hypocritical in that statement, i smoke like a chimney and eat vikes as often as i get my hands on them. its the only way to fight off the mounting desire to beat the living shit out of all the assholes who i have to deal with.
