Road trip on Ketamine

So a friend and I are doing a road trip to our hometown next week. Its a long 8 hour drive and we usually split the driving so that someone drives the first 4 hours then the other person does the next 4, so I thought it would be nice to have some k while my friend is driving his half.

Has anyone been on K in a long car ride before, is it recommended? The reason i'm a little wary is that sometimes I feel some nausea after I come down and I feel that this feeling would be amplified if I was in a car all day.

Another question is how long after snorting k is it ok to drive, I feel like after 3-4 hours I should be 99% back to baseline and fine to drive but maybe its better doing the first stint of driving?

Yes, it's definitely a better idea to do it after driving, not before. Make sure to lock the doors. Chew on some root ginger, 4 grams, about half an hour before taking the ketamine, it will minimize or even totally erase the nausea.

Haven't tried it, but i could imagine it could be fun. As to the nausea, I don't think any one could answer you. But if you usually do get a little bit sick from K, then driving in a car will most likely amplify it.

You're probably right, in that after 3-4 hours you should be okay for driving. Still I think it would be a highly irresesponsible thing to do.
If you're going to take Ketamine, you better do the first 4 hours of driving, and then you can indulge.

Better safe than sorry, so I'd drive the first leg if I were you.

I remember when I rode about on a moped. One day I had a single can of cider half an hour before I went out. So I was under the limit. But although I felt 100% sober after I drank the can, when I rode away I could notice an impairment and didn't feel comfortable riding. I made a point of not drinking before driving a vehicle again to be on the safe side.

So what I'm saying is you may feel completely baseline, but when you're behind the wheel it may emerge that you aren't quite.

Definitely do not drive even 3-4 hours after coming down. Some people get residual effects from ketamine lasting for many hours. When I used to take ketamine, I would sometimes still be very intoxicated many hours after the k-hole. There was a thread on it here recently, and it showed that many of us still experience muscle co-ordination problems and visual impairment long after the main effects had worn off.

You may even feel okay to drive, but you will probably still be under the influence somewhat.

driving on it is NUTS - its like a high in itself

Until you crash. Ketamine is far more impairing than even alcohol in that sense. Please don't endorse something so very dangerous. ~Jesusgreen

Holy shit, are you kidding me? I can hardly think of a stupider thing to do with ketamine than drive while on it.
