Friday has so far mostly been spent sitting around waiting for my new support worker to arrive. Currently an hour late with not so much as a courtesy call. You just can't get the staff these days 8)

EDIT: I am a moron. Just double checked and it's next Friday. D'oh! :o

Nope - going to try for another 5 days. Going on holiday (Oman) on Wednesday and trying to hold out until then. Feeling pretty pleased with myself to be honest.
 
Oh yes, did I read correctly that you've been doing the sobriety thing since the beginning of the year, Bear? Thought I saw you mention in in a thread recently but didn't quite register. Bloody good job - holiday well and truly earned, I'd say :)
 
Yeah started on New Years day - bit of a record for me so pretty chuffed. Will be having a drink on holiday but will not be going crazy and will not start drinking daily after its finished either (well thats the plan).
 
That's really rather impressive, Bear. A month is not to be sniffed at - good stuff :)

Had a nice surprise of a mate I'd not seen for a while coming round with a rock for me to smoke, first in years, was lovely.
Chilling out tmrw then mum & sister visiting on Sunday and mum bringing me the usual food parcel,bless her, will keep me from starving until I get my money.

Yay Friday thread!

Last 2 weekends I've either been in hospital or travelling to an outpatients appointment at the same said hospital, so this weekend I'm looking forward to not needing any medical attention and basically doing fuck all. (gotta go back to hospital in 2 weeks time, hopefully the steroids I'm now on will have kicked the "cuffitis" into remission by then, their effectiveness has been patchy at best this week though so I'm not holding out hope... *sigh*).

Just drank the beer that has been sat in my fridge since new year (it seems I've done nearly a month sober without even realising too), now I'm off to bed with a little bit of hash in my pipe, where I may well stay until Monday morning.
