Rivea Corymbosa (Ololiuqui) Experiences with Regards to Dosage...??

green tea doesn't have much caffeine. the caffeine forms when the other alkaloids in green tea age. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theobromine

black tea by comparison has almost no theobromine but a lot of caffeine.

in my experience marijuana helps vasoconstriction only in low doses. if you suck down a whole joint while coming up on a trip it won't help things at all =p (unless you know exactly what you're doing haha)

watch your Yohimbe dosage. low doses are probably fine, but Yohimbe is a MAOI and does some other funky stuff to the CNS at higher dosages. I think higher dosages of Yohimbe + Rivea could actually end up doing something else that ends up being toxic.

Oh, sorry. Didn't see the "green", haha. But yes, I knew that. And I tend to only smoke when the pain sets in, never before hand. Unless I'm already in the trip. I limit my use of any other substances besides my psychs when I'm trippin', as I love the un-modified feeling of it (that is, of course, unless I want some better visuals). I'm also EXTREMELY cautious when it comes to my body and substances, so I assure you, and am quite careful, haha. And I tend to spread out my yohimbe usages, and always keep the dose quite low, and I've only used it with MG once. But thank you, nonetheless. Yohimbe, despite being a MAOI, is a -weak- one at that (I've even read that to receive full MAO inhibition, you'd need to use yohimbe constantly for a week or more. Not sure how reliable that is, so I wouldn't go off of this as fact, just a tidbit of info). Plus, I can't handle too much yohimbe (more than three droppers) without my heart bothering me.

i am not sure how vasodilators work. once you feel the pain/constriction it might be too late. if i know that vasoconstriction will be an issue then i typically do pre-treat.

i am unsure if you need to apply the treatment before the effects occur. perhaps some "vasodilators" only function preventatively.... sort of like the difference between a "releaser" and a "reuptake inhibitor" in other areas of pharmacology.

if you attempt to use marijuana as a treatment for drug-induced vasoconstriction in the future perhaps you should try it as a pretreatment. just to see if it works that way. in the name of science. :)

vascular stress like that was a bigger concern to me when i first stated that warning. its just easier to tell people "its an MAOI" lol =p but yeah yohimbe does some really funky stuff at higher dosages, and i don't think that yohimbe's funky-high-dose-stuff would mix well with LSA's vasoconstriction and other side effects. just a feeling though, i'm not a biochemist (yet, i hope :))

I'll have to try this experiment; I love experimenting for the sake of my fellow (future) [bio/organic]-chemists :) Simplification is usually a must when dealing with the general public, haha. I used yohimbe as a pre-treatment, and as I said, at such a dose that I barely felt the stimulation. It merely counteracted the sedation and vasoconstriction. I usually don't enjoy high doses of anything, unless it's marijuana, LSD or mushrooms. ;)

Just read on wikipedia that vasodilators cause a reduction in BP. This could be problematic with high BP on LSA, then increasing it even more (yohimbe raising BP) while dilating your blood vessels. Too much constriction-dilation with elevating and descending BP could be quite problematic.

i would guess that low doses of yohimbe probably lower BP, but i think high doses raise BP. you are more experienced with yohimbe than i am though. in your experience does that sound right at all?

i.e. a low dose might make you feel calm, but a high dose might make the veins in your forehead pop out.

yohimbe is very pharmacologically complex.

Quite complex. And I've done it about four times, three of the four times were low doses. I felt my heart beat increase ever so slightly, but it was mostly ignored. That is until I tried to sleep... I didn't, haha. But a good dose of yohimbe (two full droppers) is just about equal to 60mg of Vyvanse, or ~30-5mg of adderall. It REALLY gets your heart going. But definitely a stimulant in all doses (in my experience). But we are getting a bit off topic...

that we are :) i think there's a Yohimbe thread in Other Drugs, and there's a LSA Combinations thread in PD. i have nothing else to contribute, but let me know if you want this conversation to continue in another locale.

also i see you're a greenlighter/newbie so i'm gonna send ya friend request :)
