ritalin (methylphenidate)

so does anyone else on here recreationally use ritalin? i have met a friend not long ago who suffers from ADHD and for months he had been hassling me to try it claiming it to be a 'sick buzz' and i completely dismissed this. Then finally i caved in, i took 4 throughout my day at work and it gave me a nice pleasent euphoric stimulation, then i came home that night and read on the internet that snorting was a far better ROA. So i aquired a box of them from him, since then i have had some great night drinking beer and sniffing it by the pill (10mg) working my way towards the 100mg mark. too me it feels like really good coke, better then the <snip> a gram 'pure' coke that is around here and even smells just like it when sniffed and produces a completely bareable comedown (even went for an interview in the morning after a binge the other day with no problems) so i was just wondering does anybody else use this drug to get high and feel it is really good and worthwhile???

I've not had any experience with Methylphenidate, so I can't help you in that respect.
But I'm going to send this over to BDD as you'll get a wider spectrum of people who take it (especially in the USA) as it's rather rare here (UK).

I have never tried methylphenidate (quite a fan of ethylphenidate though) so will let someone else answer this...

alota people do man, theres hundreds of threads, at least 100, on methylphenidate

its a good alternative to other stimulants if you like the high or dont mind that its not as strong as other "better" stims, for one its a pharm so its "uncut", two, its fairly safe as long as u use it safely (roa and dose), three, its not illegal , four its pretty cheap or even free, esp considerin that it sounds like ur coke grams arent worth the price or too expensive

people use it many ways, be careful however you use it, and have fun cuz yeah, it has recreational value aside from medicinal/therapuetic for ADD patients
 
It depends on what you want from your drugs. I personally found that it just kept me awake, but I also can't honestly say how much I did the particular night I'm thinking of. I guess I was speedy, but I was also quite drunk.

Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) has personally provided more euphoria, however for me I find 5-15mg dysphoric and generally a negative thing, 20-30mg IR snorted is an enjoyable preface to a party (especially as host :D).

Tread carefully, however. Most stimulants are rather poor for the body. Remember to eat as well! :)
 
to me its like i dont have access too adderall, the coke i can get is half decent but really overpriced. i find ritalin (snorted) combined with alcohol provides a decent euphoria, much prefer smack and MDMA but i cant be doing with a life draining addiction plus i dont want to lose the magic from MDMA, i have just found out though, that there is a new rc on the market called ethylphenidate which is methlyphenidates equivalent to cocaetylene, gonna be giving that a whirl!

i have access to really high purity amphetamine sulphate, but i find it makes me black out alot and gives me a fucking major comedown, where as methylphenidte i can sleep on and theres not much in the way of a comedown:D

I hear you on the MDMA thing - now it's a highly predictable experience for me, but I've been rolling more than once a week as of late..
 
Very nice! Rather jealous of the quality of presses coming from your part of the world. State-side it's all RC's / pipes. Couple good batches around apparently, but I made the jump to molly a while back and never even considered a press since.
 
I've used it recreationally and for work a bit. It's a fucker to get hold of for me but I like it, a lot more than I like ethylphenidate so far. I found it mood-lifting and confidence inducing and generally just all round great. Particularly nice with a couple of drinks.
 
I have a prescription for Ritalin, 20 mg twice a day. I work on a computer all day, so it definitely helps keep me focused on work. I don't take my entire prescribed dose and use the rest recreationally. Helps alot if you have a long night of partying ahead. Good clean buzz.
