Misc Ritalin/Methylphenidate nasty side effects (any remedy?)

Ive been on 20mg methylphenidate as needed with no more than 3 per day (usually 1 per class since class is 4 hours long) It's been over a year now, and it has always given me some side effects but for some reason they have been getting much worse lately (and I'm not upping my dose). The one that bothers me the most is I dry heave a TON and my stomach is always very upset, this happens both on an empty or full stomach. On top of this I can never actually vomit, even if i really try. I have read this problem before and people say to lower the dosage, but 10mg and under I do not get any peace of mind, and I still get minor stomach problems. I would really like to switch to ANYTHING else, but im afraid if I ask the doctor to change my medicine he will just think that I'm a junkie trying to get some stronger meds or something.

TLDR: how to cure an upset stomach caused by meds, and how to get my prescription changed reasonably.

p.s. I forgot to mention that its really hard to burp while on my medicine (trying to burb usually becomes a dry heave), but when i do my stomach feels slightly better, so maybe this is somehow gas related.

IMO, Ritalin sucks. Plain and simple. Adderall is a much better option and most doctors seem to prefer it. Ritalin used to zap my creativity and made me feel robotic...like a little machine focusing on one task to the next. Adderall lets me focus on what I need to do while enhancing my creativity.

that already sounds like a much better option seeing that Im a graphic designer (as in i actually NEED creativity to make a living) so Ill see what I can do next time I have a checkup, but thats in a couple months, so until than anyone have any ideas for all the stomach problems Ive been getting lately? I mean its really to the point that im not sure if its worth taking because ill be able to focus for 45 minutes, and than spend the next 2 hours trying to vomit... Any vitamin cocktails that will help? (I used to bodybuild so i still have pretty much every vitamin known to man)
