Ritalin (Methylphenidate), after lots of Crack and Coke.

I used to be a heavy crack/cocaine abuser, and now i have been prescribed Ritalin to treat my ADHD. Will the Ritalin have a strong affect stimulation wise, or will it do little to nothing because I abused crack again cocaine so much for a prolonged period (minimum a gram a day for a year, omitting the odd days when nothing was available)?

I do genuinely have ADD, and i do need it to continue to excell at my workplace.

Hi Benny. Good question.

I used crack for a year or so in my past. It would put me to sleep sometimes. I also was prescribed Ritalin in my youth. They are both stimulants of course but the affect will not be the same. The euphoria if that's what you mean won't be as strong I would imagine, especially if it's prescribed for ADHD maintenance. Hopefully there will be more of a balance. The brain and body remembers they say but there are many factors, to start with duration of use and length of time since last use… as well as taking as prescribed with a history of crack use could be difficult, but it's indeed a better choice than crack.

i love my methylphenidate but it's not coke that's for sure.
I love coke lines way more altho i dont do it anymore cuz when i do its all i can think about.

Chemically, the 2 drugs are distantly related, but cokes more potent. and doesn't last as long.
